“We stayed here to fish on the lake. We had a late check-in. I notified the owner, Kristina, that we would be late. No worries at all. Paid and she left my key. We asked for late check-out since we brought our dogs with us. That was not an issue either! Yes the facilities are dated, which is the reason for 4 star instead of 5 but everything works as it should! Kristina is very friendly. We will definitely stay here again!”

“I went there for my birthday and it was great easy to get to the service was real good they came out and greeted me the rooms were clean and the fishing was really good I caught a lot of fish under the spotlight on the dock catfish crappie Bass and one perch everything was great I encourage everyone to go try it”

“Wonderful gem in Kingsland, TX. We stayed in the McKinley Coach Car and it was fabulous! Dinner at Hooper's Bar was very good and the service was lovely! The kind servers gave us ice and water bottles to-go after I asked about staying for the first time in a railcar! Loved the location and all the history there. Next time I would stay longer and explore the water area more. Definitely recommend!”

“The staff is very friendly and helpful. The cabins are somewhat rustic but they include everything we needed and are a good value. Really nice location.Rooms: There are 8 cabins with 4 different sizes/layouts. Several of the beds are standard double beds, which is fine for children or small adults but really can't comfortably sleep 2 tall and/or large adults. Most of the kitchens are small but pretty well-equipped.Noteworthy details: Good cell signal but no wifi. The pool is not heated so isn't really usable in winter and spring.”
