“Great place to rent a large van for moving. They're high roof cargo van holds an incredible amount of things. I rented it rather than the U-Haul truck because it saved me about $400. Unlike U-haul, Enterprise gives you the first 400 miles for free. I rented the truck in San antonio, drove to Houston to load up my daughter's things and then drove back to San Antonio. Just under 400 miles 😎”
“The website and reservation system is user friendly and easy! Every employee I have encountered has been helpful and efficient. The vehicles are always clean and well maintained. David (at the I35 location in New Braunfels Tx) is amazing and goes above and beyond! He can multitask and assists his customers very quickly but thoughtfully and thoroughly! “I rented a car here last week and had a positive experience. It was the first time I have ever seen a location inside of a Walmart, but it really was a nice experience. The staff who assisted me were friendly and helpful. The car was nice, though there was a strong odor inside of it. Overall I was very pleased with my experience at this location.”
“I rented an intermediate SUV from Christine at the Avis Walmart location in New Braunfels for a 7 day rental beginning on May 11, 2026 and received excellent service and the correct vehicle that I had requested. I would not hesitate to rent from this location again.”
“I've rented here a few times now and there's usually no problems. The debit card policy is crazy though, it's a $500 deposit if you use debit, and you can't use a debit card if you don't book at least 24 hours in advance. The deposit on a credit card is $200. But most of the employees are very friendly and helpful, the cars are always clean, and the pickup process is usually pretty quick and easy”
“I just returned my rental car...and it was a very smooth process...I must say that I was a little skeptical about this location after reading the reviews...I rented for two weeks...and my pickup was very professional and also a smooth process..there were no real issues...however at the end of my trip, the oil change now light was displayed...and I immediately contacted Hertz road service...at the time I was in Virginia heading back to San Antonio, Tx which was like 1300 miles...so anyway Hertz ended up having the vehicle towed 3hrs away to Charlotte, NC to the airport to exchange vehicles...however when I arrived there were no vehicles available...had to wait til the following morning to exchange the vehicle...which was a smooth process...then made it back to San Antonio, Tx. Just in time for this vehicle to also need a oil change...overall all was well...and all good in the hood...would surely recommend this location...the price was very good compared to the surrounding area locations.”
