“*See below for update:Sent in urine sample marked "Patient taking Methylene Blue" on blue sample. Doc wanted a sample tested but internet suggested I shouldn't test while on MB. Lab tested anyway, but later confirmed that they should have pulled the sample. They promised to send a new test weeks ago, but have not, and they won't answer calls or email. This was a waste of $300-400 dollars. Unethical.*Thank you for your prompt response. I got the kit the next day.I am still curious how MB affects the test + or - if anyone has time to explain. “I've only had two appointments with this doctor so far but would like to mention a few things. I read the review that said things were chaotic; however, that was not the impression I got on either of my visits or during phone calls. I know the practice recently moved to a new office so it's possible the disruption of moving could have contributed to the writer's impression, although I can't say for sure. Also, I was called sweetie by one or two of the staff, but having worked in a hospital for eight years that doesn't bother me. It's because when I observed hospital employees saying that (whether doctors, nurses, medical assistants, radiology techs, registrars, etc.), invariably their demeanor was patient, pleasant, and kind, as well as professional in their services, and they were trying to put patients at ease. They were not being condescending or in any way sexist. At the doctor's office where I was a patient before this one, the doctor and one of her staff were nice, but two employees were curt, unsmiling, and not happy to assist, which is uncalled for when it's not just a case of someone having a bad day but rather during every encounter. By contrast, everyone I've encountered at Dr. Jamal's so far has been pleasant, helpful, and kind every time, including the doctor, her PA, and all the rest of the staff. Any time I've spoken to Christina and Diana I've been impressed by their warmth, calm demeanor, and fast action, even when I called several times the same day with something I forgot to say on the previous calls. A big surprise for me was that I only got put on hold once so far, and that was during the very busy days before Christmas when patients try to get things done before the end of the year. Any other time I called I was helped right away, with another surprise being my requests for prescription refills were sent immediately during the phone call rather than being left as a message for a call back. One day I called several times about something in one of my old medical records which meant one test should include an item not normally screened but which could be a serious omission if not done in my case. I'd had the specimen taken that day, and finally found in my records when I got home the specific name of what needed to be checked. I called the doctor's office that afternoon with the information and when the test came back from the lab, sure enough that item showed in the lab report on the patient portal. Another thing is that my previous doctor, a family doctor, did very little to check me during my well checks. Dr. Jamal, however, was very thorough and as a preventive measure included an EKG (something my former doctor never did, though I was in my late 60's), which came back abnormal, so I'm going to be checked by a cardiologist. If she hadn't done that, I would have no idea something could be wrong as I'd had no symptoms of any potential problems. Regarding wait times, I did have a wait on my initial visit, not much of one on my second. There were a couple billing issues I called on which were partially an insurance issue and partially an office billing issue; I was always treated with courtesy and a helpful attitude and the issues were resolved. Overall, at this point I'm giving five stars and hopefully will have no reason to amend the rating as time goes by.”

“I had a GREAT experience at LSIP for an MRI of my hand, particially my thumb. The out of pocket cost of $375 vs all my other insurance claims with other companies of $490 to $1000 is unmatched, so I highly recommend. Just 1 piece of advice, no one uses CD-ROMs anymore, so burning images to CD's is a bit dated. Please move to storing images on USB/Flash drives. I have my images but no way of accessing them.”

“I made an appointment a few days before my draw date because I had to be fasting for these labs. I was able to get a convenient early morning appointment time. I was reminded via text the morning of my appointment on how to check in remotely-via my phone. I was seen promptly upon arrival-only had to wait 10 minutes maximum. the technicians are professional and kind. They are also efficient-they not only have to draw the blood, they have to manage the administrative aspects as well, such as checking insurance. I APPRECIATE having this location available. it is always clean.”

“This is the second time going to this location and if we have the choice, we will never go anywhere else again. This location has the best nurses staff we have ever encountered anywhere. Super nice, super helpful, very professional and beyond understanding. My daughter has POTS and has a difficult time giving blood. She gets nauseous and tends to past out easily. Her anxiety level goes through the roof when she knows she has to go give blood, but not at Quest Diagnostics in Carrollton. They completely understand her situation and are the most accommodating to her and her situation. She’s 22 by the way, so she’s not a little kid. I only go for moral support and just in case she ever gets close to or actually passes out. We travel just over 40 minutes to get to this location even though there are other locations within 10-15 minutes from our house. I truly cannot say enough good about them. They are exactly what you should expect from your nursing staff.”

“I finished a three day home EEG this morning. After having a hospital EEG and a home EEG, I have to say there is no comparison. I'm not saying the people at the hospital were not fabulous, but Mary (my "installer") was amazing. She was so kind, informative, and friendly. She eased my mind about what I would be going through during the three days. My experience with a home EEG is SO much better than the hospital because I felt comfortable being in my own home and my own bed. I relaxed and rested during the three days (which was great), but I was also able to be around my family while taking the test. If possible, I would highly recommend Stratus and their home EEG. I think the results of your testing will be better recorded for the doctor to analyze than in a hospital (which in this time of COVID-19 which makes some even more uncomfortable) because you can be more active and do some of the things you would normally do at home.”
