“I shopped here for my first time today, and I was amazed by the place. There was a huge assortment of wood, with a lot of domestics and a several exotics. I was very happy with the quality of the wood, and I was able to shuffle through each group to pick the pieces I wanted. A lot of these are rough sawn, and they offer to give you one cut for free if needed. I like this, as I can work the wood as I like with my machines. Overall, it is an excellent and huge selection of wood with multiple groupings of the same species to choose from. And there are several stacks of 6/4, 8/4 and even 12/4 if you need something that big.
The staff was top tier. I was a bit shy showing up to a large place like this for the first time, but I was quickly met by a gentleman who welcomed me and made sure I knew where to look and how to choose pieces. They were very friendly and patient as I chose the boards I wanted. I was never pushed to hurry, and they were more than happy to move stacks so I could look at whatever I wanted. I very much appreciated the assistance and patience, especially since I was looking to get just 6 or so boards. I felt like they gave me the attention and respect as someone buying several thousands of board feet. I even had a great conversation with one of the employees as he measured and cut my boards, talking about woodworking and the huge planer/sander they have in the shop.
Finally, the pricing is awesome. Very, very reasonable, especially in today's environment of surging prices. When they rung me up, it was less than 1/3 of what I was expecting to pay. So now the lumber is in my shop until I can go out and do some of the projects I've been looking forward to complete.”

“The store is located in a sketchy area, so it is advisable not to expect employees to leave your bags in plain sight. However, they help answer questions about specific products. The prices are a bit high, but it is convenient to shop there.”
“We were having a tough time finding the nuts and bolts that we needed. Couldn’t find them at the big box store. We manage to find them here and it is at a very reasonable price. Customer service, Guy is awesome and we highly recommend this place! Will definitely be back if we need anything else.”

While their customer service is commendable—something you'd expect given the clientele—there was a significant hiccup with my order. I had arranged for a delivery, promised for the next day at 5 PM, but when the time came, there was no delivery. After 50 hours without any updates, I decided to call. “SW Door did a great job for us installing custom new front and back doors in our 30-year old house nearly 10 years ago. They were helpful, on-time, fairly priced, and even spoke English. But I didnt review them then. This review is for going above-and-beyond. A few months ago a tiny part of our front door locking mechanism came loose, fell out, and was lost. It was a special crew that held the door handle in place and was difficult to find. SW Door took my call and worked w the original manufacturer to identify the piece and get it shipped for me -- at no cost. There was no real revenue opportunity here TODAY for SW Door, but they did the right thing and really helped me out. So next project I have they will certainly earn my business -- again. And I might note, the doors they installed almost 10 years ago operate like a champ. Very satisfied and I'd highly recommend them.Service: General door installation”
