“Clutch recently started slipping on my 2020 Honda Civic Si. I've lived in Austin nearly my whole life and can remember when South Lamar had plenty of mechanic shops to take care of you. With all those now gone, I had no clue where to go. On a recommendation, I checked these guys out, saw they had amazing reviews, contacted them, and took my car in to confirm it was my clutch. From the second I walked on to the property and started speaking with them, I knew I was at the right place. They've been there since the 80's and I truly love supporting local places that have been able to survive the changes Austin has gone through. They were extremely friendly, upfront, and even let me bring them a clutch kit I had purchased on my own to install. After researching prices for this sort of job, I thought what they charged me was very fair for the quality of work they do. Very satisfied and would not hesitate to take my car there again if ever needed.”

I sometimes worry about being taken advantage of in the mechanic space, but Armando walked me through what was wrong with my car in an easy to understand way that didn’t feel like mansplaining, He even pulled up the online order form for the needed car parts to show me the exact breakdown of costs for parts and services, which I really appreciated. There’s been a couple of times where he wasn’t exactly on location during business hours, so I would call before coming in, as he’s very responsive over phone.”

I drove over some construction scraps on the road that dislodged a plastic barrier under my car on a Friday evening. On Saturday, I drove around to a few auto shops on the east side that said they couldn't help me. I knew it was an easy fix- something that could take a few minutes at worst. I turned into Guardian and they immediately said yes and fixed my car in minutes as I waited in their AC. They were honest, fast, and dependable. Ill be back for all things auto going forward and will be sending all my friends in their direction as well.”

After I had paid they noticed my taillight was out too so they fixed it free of charge. Very kind of them. Already referred one of my friends to them! “Our car wouldn’t start in our garage. I tried jump starting it, but the battery was too far gone. I called Luxury Auto and they immediately dispatched a truck to get my car. While replacing the battery, the mechanic noted several safety deficiencies to include the front brakes. They called and got my approval to replace and make the necessary repairs for the other deficiencies. My car was ready for pick up less than a day. The personnel and mechanics at Luxury Auto are top-notch. I highly recommend them!”
“Went in yesterday morning after driving into work when my tire pressure on my dashboard was getting lower and lower by the second. I googled them and saw they were a short 3 min. drive, thank god I pulled in before completely having a flat tire to be stranded on the highway. They were able to patch my tire and send me on my way in less than 30 min. The gentleman who assisted me when I walked in was so nice and quick to take care of my vehicle. “Got a very detailed assessment with cost projection to investigate an AC issue on my 30 year old classic car. The crew worked on it and kept finding worn out parts and fixes for them. Even sent to repair vacuum tube for which we could not find a ready replacement. Finally, the work stopped because a part needed to come from an online retailer. The invoice was less than estimate because work is still pending.
What matters is that the shop owner and the front office folks work as a team. They are excellent communicators. Most of all they know their craft. I will take the car back when parts arrive. Obviously, I trust them.”
