“They always need more plastic bags than they have so if you have the large size (bigger than standard grocery bags) please donate them. I don't mean the nice reusable ones, I mean like regular plastic for them to use at the register.
Always get good deals on second hand furniture here”

“I love this resale shop. Everything is reasonably priced. They have lots of cool treasures. They always have sales on the entire store 50 percent off , 40 percent off etc. also , proceeds help animals in need. What’s not to love. every thrifter or antique lover must check it out.”
“Amazing!!! Hidden gem place on broadway st. Loved loved loved. Will definitely be coming back!! On the outside looking in it looks very small, but once you walk inside it’s a different story! There are two different areas, one for clothing and fitting rooms and the other for home items. There are lots of different vendors who sell their things, and I got lucky with some great finds!! And the cashier is super sweet and gives off such calming energy. 10/10”
“Wonderful thrift store! ♥️ The ladies who work there are volunteers from the church that runs the thrift store. All the proceeds go to many different charities chosen by the church. I highly recommend to both shop and donate ? there! Wonderful people!! God bless everyone involved!!”
“They have some of the best finds! Everything is great quality. And for the quality of the pieces are very reasonably priced. They also always have great deals going on.”
“? Good donation center. Took things we no longer need and was too good to go to garbage. The place next to them is vacant and this location is NOT a store its only for donations. Not sure why they call it Houston. This is Marina Bay Drive, League City ,Texas?”
“I was pleasantly surprised by this little thrift store I stumbled upon! The staff was friendly, the deals were GREAT, and I found a lots of treasures. The book selection was exceptionally amazing.”
“Absolutely love coming here! Staff is super friendly and prices are so low!!! I've made a lot of great purchases here! My young niece loves coming to Pearland ? just for this store!!! The prices on toys are incredible! Thank you!”
“This was the most efficient and friendly drop-off I have ever experienced in our many years of donating to Goodwill. They saw me pull up and a lady walked out with a push cart all the way to our van for me to set our boxes on, and had a receipt ready to go! Thank you!”

“I like going to SEAM thrift store. They offer better prices than most of the big thrift locations. When you shop at SEAM you are also helping other people out with food and utilities due to their pantry...”
“I found cute clean toys for my kids. the clothes are well organized and well priced. The cashier was super friendly and told me all about the organization. Super cool find!!!”
“(For rcc in Galveston) 4 stars. I was in an awful situation and staff I felt had my safety as their priority as well as looking after me during my stay. We got two hot meals a day, a bag of basic necessities, a bed and shower, as well as storage. All kinds of people come through and I felt on edge but overall respectful. Staff made sure my face wasn’t in photos and made sure I was with someone by my side or safe. Jazmin a staff and Courtney were wonderful people. Laurie was overworked, bless her heart, but she really cared for the people there. Mrs Rosa was kind to me and well spoken. I felt taken seriously and my needs accommodated for. Only complains I have is that some other people felt under heard or not taken seriously enough. Some staff seemed overworked and some people in help felt a bit rushed or dismissed by some. Overall it was an amazing place. Staff even brought candies and fudge trays. The food and snacks were good imo. Communications between Staff did feel discombobulated and lead to some hiccups but I know everyone is trying their best. Thank you for saving me. -AJ”

“Just ok.
They have been making improvements and someone has finally started to organize the items. Not there yet, but better than a year ago.
Been going to goodwill for 50 years.
Quality of items are down, mainly because they sell all the good donations on their auction site.
Too bad, I rarely buy anything in the store.”
“I had a fantastic experience at Alamo Thrift Store! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean and well-organized everything was. The layout makes it easy to browse, and items are neatly arranged and clearly categorized, which is not always the case at thrift stores. You can tell a lot of care goes into maintaining the space.
A special shoutout to the manager, Jose, who was kind enough to stop by and make sure I was ok and if I need any help. You can tell he clearly enjoys his job and takes a lot of pride in his work. Plus he's got a cute butt. It’s rare to find a thrift store that combines great deals and good customer service.
If you’re looking for quality finds in a, organized environment, Alamo Thrift Store is definitely worth a visit. I’ll absolutely be coming back!”
“We go to our local Goodwill every couple of months to pick up movies, music and anything else we see that’s interesting. It’s a nice change from shopping at full retail price and we appreciate that it helps people find work.”

“I don't know why goodwill all of a sudden feels that they have a reason to charge $10 and up for clothing! Everything is donated. There's nothing brand new in there. And actually, some of the stuff look pretty sad like it shouldn't.I've even been on the shelf. I guess the millionaire that has this place. Try to make you feel good because he's given people jobs but they're not even making minimum wage.So good for him, he's found cheap labor. I'd rather donate my stuff and go to mom and pops. The smaller area shops. The place where I volunteer we charge$3 for tops and or pants. Because again, after we paid the rent and utilities, the rest of the money. Goes to feed people help people out. Which is what goodwill should be doing? Not giving that guy millionaire status.”
“This place is MORE THAN A THRIFT STORE !!!! The staff are helpful, friendly and have good customer service. They are well organized and you’re able to find almost ANYTHING YOU ARE LOOKING FOR… CLOTHES ARE IN GOOD SHAPE AND EVEN HAVE DESIGNER VLOTJRS BAGS AND DHORS!!! Thank you all for making this such a great place to shop!!! KEEP UP THE HOOD WORK!!”

“I've been thrifting since I furnished my first apartment back in 2005, so I’ve seen the full spectrum of thrift stores. While I do miss the old first responder discount days, their current rewards program is still fantastic. Beyond just finding good deals, I have a deep respect for Goodwill Houston’s mission. During my 17 years in law enforcement, I crossed paths with many individuals who were desperately trying to change their lives, whether they were defeating addiction, navigating a disability, or just needing a second chance to build a career. Goodwill and its Connect Centers provide the real-world foundation for people to master the art of gaining fulfilling employment, and that is a mission worth supporting.
Standout Organization & Cleanliness:
Focusing specifically on this Victory Lakes location, the cleanliness and organization are top-tier. I've shopped at other high-volume locations, like the NASA store and many in Houston, and the difference here is night and day. You never have to hunt for a shopping cart; the staff is incredibly attentive and constantly cycles them back to the front. The donation center attendants are equally polite and quick to help when dropping off goods.
Smart Store Changes:
The store recently made two major operational changes that I think deserve praise, even if they take some getting used to. First, they removed the fitting rooms. Since clothes aren't washed between donation and the sales floor, and considering the amount of retail theft that typically happens in fitting areas, this is a logical move for both hygiene and loss prevention. Their return and exchange policies are more than adequate to make up for it. Second, they recently color-coded all the clothing instead of just sorting by size. As a customer, this makes browsing incredibly efficient, and I can only imagine the massive undertaking this was for the floor staff to execute.
Incredible Staff & Management:
The efficiency of this store really shines at the checkout. Despite the heavy foot traffic you expect in League City, the cashiers handle the volume beautifully. I’ve been helped by several different cashiers over many trips, and every single one has been fast, accurate, and totally unfazed by on-the-fly pricing questions or account issues. The lines rarely stay long.
A Quick Note on Rounding Up:
Finally, I encourage everyone shopping here to round up their total to the nearest dollar at the register. Giving up a few cents in change is an effortless way to support a great charity, but it also directly supports the hardworking staff who are often evaluated by corporate on these mission metrics. I’ve brought several friends to this store who are now regulars, and it remains my definitive recommendation for the area.”

“I love this place. The clothes are in very good condition and very well priced. They also have a HUGE selection…
One of the best thrift stores I’ve ever visited… I highly recommend!”
“Daniel was so helpful and patient with me! I bought a huge painting and couldn’t fit it in my car or my mom’s car and he stood there to make sure we got it taken care of. He’s just so friendly and kind.”
“Fantastic thrift store inside an old house. Lots of rooms of various items: clothing, knick knacks, homegoods, and other things. A little bit of a lot of things. Prices are very good and the people are very friendly. Parking can be a little tricky but there's a decent amount. A+++ thrifting in Houston!”
