“One of the best resale shops in Houston. Always organized and well stocked. Prices are amazing compared to Goodwill and other large resale places. Would highly recommend for clothing, shoes, furniture, or really anything.”

“By the Grace of God found this most charming boutique, did not feel like a thrift shop, very classy and organized. Has so many things I will be back for. Prices are ridiculously low and this lady here, was a pleasure to meet. Got shoes today, next going to get several t shirts. This place is a treasure, clothing all sizes.❤️❤️❤️”

“We affectionately call this "The Weird Store" because you can find all sorts of random things here. Pricing can sometimes be a bit odd, but you can definitely find some deals if you're willing to look.”

“What a treasure trove of great furniture! There are customer service reps on hand to help with pricing, loading, and guidance. Whether you are puchasing a single item or bundling, the prices for some of the highest quality futniture is spectacular. I was in the furniture business for many years. This is worth the hunt!! Take pictures of your rooms and measurements in advance. This is a great resource for real estate staging inventory.”

“I found WHAM while driving to the GW on the I-10. I've been there twice now, and found some interesting items. Their prices are fair and they have a constant rotation of goods and 50% off sales on different categories. Cashier and staff are very nice. The only thing I wish they'd do was open a dressing room, since you can't try on clothes and all sales are final. However, for $4 for a shirt or sweater or pants, you can't really complain too much. Their clothing does seem rather boutique and you can find some brand name clothes for a steal. They have a large selection of books ($1.50-$3) and smaller selection of CDs ($1.50), DVDs, and some games. You can also donate and feel like you know where the money is going.”

“Went on Sunday dec 3 and store was very tidy and clean as could be. It is a treasure hunt to find what you want that might be in your size. They do try to categorize things in women’s men, boys and children but of course everything gets mixed up. Sometimes it’s hard to find two shoes that match but overall I love going to the family thrift outlet. Specially, when it’s dollar 1.50 day or dollar day.. I don’t live in Houston anymore so it’s a rare occasion when I get to go to family thrift outlet these days. Maybe you should open the location in Matagorda county. There are no good thrift stores like family thrift outlet in Matagorda county.”

“The staff at Anawim are the greatest! We accidentally locked our keys in our truck, and they bent over backward to help us find a solution. Also, their prices are amazing! Best thrift store in Houston!”

“AMAZING!! Sarah not only curates great finds, but is so friendly in chatting with you as you look around. I'm loving the decorative pieces I've found and will definitely be returning to see what else is available. The holiday finds are SO cute, I can't wait to bring my little cousins over to browse the Halloween (costume) selection soon!”

“Stopped in with my kiddos for some everyday clothing. I was happily surprised by the selection--lots of good brands in good condition. The book section had a lot of great books. It looked like there was lots of interesting houseware items, but we didn't have time to look around. It wasn't busy either, which was nice for a Saturday.”

“Wonderful experience. Took my students here for skill day. It was an amazing experience for them to learn how to pick out clothes and just to have that work experience.”

“The clothing is always fully stocked but the ĥouseware and misc sections usually only have cups and not much of anything else. Some pieces are almost the brand new retail price but if you look there's still fair prices.”

“This thrift store is great!!. The cashier said they call it “dig and save” because they have huge boxes of clothing you can go through. They also have the traditional rows of clothing on hangers. Tons of clothes and they are all $1.49. We went there for small pieces of furniture, and we certainly went to the right place. They also have a lot of shelves with linen and household goods on them. Behind the register, they have higher end items like name-brand, well sought after, sneakers and collectibles. They had Yeezy‘‘s but not my size. These items are individually priced based on value but obviously cheaper than new. Highly recommend it.”

“I love this store, I only visit when it's the 50% off everything. There are some things that are overpriced, but if it's too much, keep looking. If it has a snag or you notice something, let the associate know, they may lower the price ? if it's something simple you can fix, get it! Nice clothes overall. I'm no longer interested in malls. Thrifting is it!”

“Found what I was looking for, wasn't in perfect condition and had to pay a premium price since it was broken. However it was what we needed for a fifth the price of new, the employees were polite. Still the line was Long, parking was horrible- and I would pay full price to avoid the parking and line again. Since we are not from Houston, and in fact from a rather small town I won't count that against the store. Store was cleanEmployees polite Most prices very reasonable”

“New Houston favorite! This fun and chill shop was a total blast to comb through. Huge fan of recycling fashion as it is one of the world’s largest polluters. A ton of gems packed into this tiny shop of well curated of women and men’s clothes, shoes, jackets, and purses. From greeting to purchase all the staff were engaging and helpful. I absolutely love it when shopkeepers take pride in their space and products. Easy to read tags, clean shop, lots of clean dressing rooms, beautifully executed displays, and well merchandised shelves. Nicely done Julian G, Aiden, Jordy, Nyne, and Julian A! I will definitely be back again soon! Bravo!”

“If you are a underprivileged male individual looking for a bed and three meals a day this is a great place to inquire at. They will also help you find a job, obtain health insurance, and receive substance abuse treatment.Due to COVID-19 they are currently not taking new clients but will be assisting the community again within the coming months.Good luck out there. Stay safe. Stay compassionate. Stay strong.”

“I stopped here not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. They had lots of name brand, like new items priced between $8--$12. Thus is what I expect to pay at a resale shop and that's exactly what I got. The place is small, and we'll organized. Perfect for when I want to be in and out in under an hour.”

“Very clean, very organized....tshirt selection wasn't that great but I'll keep checking back maybe come across a few hidden gems as always when thrifting”

“1. Great place that takes care of the community. Got excellent clothes for kids when I was in a pinch.2. Others who comment it's expensive... Compared to what? Retail? What do you expect?3. Lastly, the comment about racism... You clearly have not worked in this neighborhood. People with backpacks march into a store, load them up with merchandise and PARADE out with PRIDE. If people come to steal on the regular, unfortunately, the manager must guard the goods as his own whole he is there. That's his job. Anyone searching for signs of "racism" is sure to find it.”

“I drove all the way from Sargent Texas to hit $1 day. Definitely worth the drive two huge bags of shoes and clothes for $22. I live in the country so I go through clothed by getting paint or bleach or I rip them so it’s not worth it for me to buy new clothes. Plus I’m retired on a small fixed income.I love family thrift outlet. They always have so much stuff. Yes you do have to search but it’s worth it. I highly recommend it and I’ll be back every time I can get to Houston.”

“The manager Elizabeth and her staff were so amazing in helping me find an important item that was accidentally donated. I was on the verge of tears until they dug through the items and found it! Not only this but the store is always will kept and orderly- so many cute things go through there!”

“For those of us who were around back when Goodwill used to sell clothing items for a dollar sometimes less and it was an actual value. This is like taking a step back in time to win thrift store actually meant thrift. These days you go into a donation-based resale shop and sometimes you’re paying more than the item cost originally brand new. Nothing seems to be affordable anymore. I found value Village through an online ad advertising shirts for $.99 one day. Of course I clicked on the click bait and went down the rabbit hole that is value Village.I read reviews checked out franchise information, even when is far as to watching YouTube videos from other shoppers head shop there. It’s not anywhere close to my house so before I wouldn’t trust all the way to the other side of town in my car that likes to break down on me for no good reason, I wanted to be sure at this place with worth my time.I am happy to report it very much was. They had so many great flash sales going on in there and the quality of the items was way higher than I expected it to be. I would like to know where their income goes to. Is it all just a corporate thing or do they donate to local charities? If anyone knows the answer this please let me know. I like shopping places where my money is going to better the community and the world around us.”

“There are alot of people and alot of clothes combined with alot of great items. I spent 2 hours in the store and left with 35 plus size items and a pair of shoes for a quarter each. You must be patient and not have issues with people bumping into you. These are not located in the best parts of town. I do not wear jewelry and I take a purse I can keep on me. Do not leave valuables in the car. Lock your doors. I go weekly.”

“One of the few authentic thrift stores in town where you can still find great quality clothes and hidden treasures at decent prices. Clothes are well organized, there's lots of inventory, the store is spacious and clean, basically everything inside the store is good. Unfortunately I can't say the same for what's outside the store. It's located next to two abandoned buildings in a derelict plaza, and there are shady people who like to hang out near the entrance. However, I feel the savings and quality of the products make this location worth a visit.”

“We donated a loveseat and they came out to unload it. My husband and I had a hard time getting it into the truck and needed help to get it out. They almost dropped it (3 young guys were unloading it). But all in all, they were polite and helpful.”

“Look out for a volunteer named Neal! He is very rude and acts as though people being inside the shop is an inconvenience. He yelled at everyone in his line (including us), and also at his coworkers when multiple came up to offer him help. Otherwise, this is an incredible shop with great deals. I love coming all the time!”
