“Edit : results were a bit better than I thought and I came back to consign more. Met a nice woman in charge and left feeling better second time. Original : Shop if you like fancy and organized. Avoid for consignment. I thought it might be a good place for placing the more valuable stuff of my mother's but after reading the rules over and over (remember - they are doing you a favor) after fighting to get an appointment because they are so busy (didn't seem like it when I got there) after filling out the forms fully, I drove through traffic to get there and some of the stuff was not acceptable. None of it was catalogued like on the sheet and basically I just went through a lot of detailed hassle to donate the small art pieces and maybe the bigger will be tracked but I didn't get the feeling. I doubt they will even label them as mine. They have rules that they can just lowball it in value and consider it a donation. Will they value higher end figurines? I will be surprised if anything gets to my mom. My advice is - don't consign here: they don't need it and it's easier just to donate to your local Goodwill. This organization has been spoiled by easy money.”

“I have been to this store multiple times, and my experiences have always been good. Unfortunately, today was different. I brought a couple of products to the checkout, and the employee told me, “If the product doesn’t have a price tag, we can’t sell it.” I found this policy a little strange. Both products were on the shelves and clearly available for sale, so I would expect the store to have a way to determine the price. Couldn’t the employee check the system, ask another employee, or contact the appropriate department to confirm the price? Simply telling a customer that an item cannot be sold because the store failed to price it seems unusual (many products there did not have a price tag. So it would be a hit or miss shopping experience?). The employee was also not particularly friendly or helpful, which made the experience more disappointing. He was wearing glasses, in case that helps identify who was working at the register at the time. I’ve generally had positive experiences at this location, so hopefully this was just an isolated situation. Edit: the store explained the reason for the policy, which made sense.It is sad that these things happen. I changed the review rating.”

“What an incredibly lucky find! My wife & I were fortunate to discover St. Christopher's Resale Shop while going to the annual Polish Festival in Houston. But it turned out that this gem was the real highlight of our day. First, it's HUGE! There is no doubt that this is the largest, brightest, and most well organized resale shop we've ever visited. It's so well thought out, and it's actually attractive. Unlike comparable venues, this one is not messy, but rather everything is in it's place, easy to locate, and a superb bargain. But the greatest value when visiting here is the staff of volunteers. They are nothing less than wonderful, with their incredibly hospitality and their very obvious joy in being there. They were so helpful, and accommodating. We spent some time with Elizabeth, Pearl, and Laura. What a wonderful way to pass some time. It's hard to express how they extended themselves to make certain that we left entirely satisfied. We just couldn't wait to let others know that this little jewel is there waiting for you on Blalock, and to tell others that they'll be completely pleased when they stop by. A great group, and a fantastic store. Who could have possibly known that this was here, and that we would be so fortunate to park there for the festival. Cannot recommend this resale shop (and crew) highly enough. It speaks volumes about St. Christopher's Church, and the wonderful people that go there. --Mark & Marcel Milstein”

“This is the older location they have recently moved to a location on West Belfort. The new shop is so much more bigger and has a lot more room to shop. They are one of the only non-profits who actually put the money back into the community. They help people in need by offering clothes on a voucher system. They are part of a food back. The Resale shop has tons of unfound treasures and those looking for items of nostalgia as well.”

I ended up with 10 pieces of clothing. I tried everything on mid aisle, which I hated. There are no mirrors and no dressing rooms.”
