“How cool is it to look forward to taking my two Australian Shepherds to the Vet? It’s way cool if you use Stonebrook Family Pet Clinic! The office staff and Vet techs actually know your pets name and give them lots of attention, Dr. Buffington has the kindest & gentle touch and is super cool about answering questions and really takes his time. I can’t imagine going to another Vet clinic and I’m so happy I made the switch last year to Stonebrook Family Pet Clinic, they rock!!!”

“Great vet! Dr. Owens was great dealing with my dog who is challenging. She is a large Belgian Malinois who is reactive to other dogs and also to people who try to handle her leg or stomach. She came up with a plan that will be safe for everyone and we'll be able to accomplish the blood test and other things that need to be done. Looking forward to future visits.”
“I truly can’t say enough positive things about this establishment. We have three huskies and if you know huskies… they are mischievous. Over the years, we have had to make a few visits and every time, they are amazing. They truly only do what is needed and necessary for your pet and do not try to take advantage financially. “I can’t stress enough how amazing this place is! We found our new vet! Our dog was sick and our normal place we take her, couldn’t get her in for a while. This place got her in quickly! Prada, who is a rescue and has a traumatic past, instantly took to the doctor! That was a big deal right there. They treated her without all the unnecessary things. It definitely didn’t feel like it was all about the money here! My daughter and I both agree that we will be making a switch!”

“I have had Dr Key and her associate come out to the house a few times now. Once was to evaluate and help us transition our 20 year-old cat over the Rainbow Bridge, and after that to care for our other senior 18-year-old tabby. I can’t say enough good things about how knowledgeable and caring they are, and how much time they take with the animals and with me. They seem genuinely interested in my life as well as well as all of the animal’s well-being.
I wish I would’ve found them sooner!
The pricing is more than reasonable, and they were willing to work with me on dosages and such of the medications they offer, after I noted that our cat seemed a little lethargic on the higher dose. They spent a long time trying to find someone who could compound a smaller dose to make it easier for me to purchase and give the proper medication to our elderly cat.
I don’t know what else to say except to repeat that I highly recommend Dr. Key and her assistant. All the pets are so much happier that they no longer have to go to the vet.
Finally, regarding the price - today’s revisit was to make sure my cat was healing well from the procedure they did two weeks ago. It was less than the price of what it would’ve cost to take my cat to the vet she used to go to.
I hope you try it out. It is so less traumatic for the cats.”

In the 20+ years that I have had dogs, this is one of the best practices I have ever been to. They truly care. “If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Dr. Meintjes saw my pet rats and did his best to give me every option available for my pets, was patient with me and my own questions and requests, AND had nothing but empathy for my need to run decisions by my husband who was out of town for the rat that was his best little buddy. The appointment ended with having to put one down, and even with that it was handled with so much care and respect. It was definitely worth the drive from Sherman.”

“Dr. Kahan and his staff have truly been incredible through one of the most stressful situations we’ve ever experienced with our dog, Mamba. After Mamba suffered a traumatic dog attack at daycare, he underwent emergency surgery for a severe laceration in his genital region. Unfortunately, the original sutures did not hold, and the wound became open and infected.
Dr. Kahan’s office immediately took Mamba in, and from that moment on, the level of care we received completely blew me away. Every single staff member was patient, compassionate, and thorough in explaining every detail of his treatment and recovery. During a time filled with anxiety and uncertainty, they made us feel supported and reassured every step of the way. Thanks to their care, Mamba is finally on the road to recovery.
One thing that means so much to us is how understanding they’ve been about Mamba’s fear and anxiety at the vet. He becomes extremely nervous and can even act aggressively, which is completely out of character for him. Not once has the staff treated him differently because of it. They’ve handled him with patience, kindness, and compassion every single visit.
Dr. Kahan even gave us his personal cell phone number to check in on Mamba, which I truly feel is above and beyond the level of care most people would expect. We are so grateful to have found such a caring, dedicated veterinarian and staff. Thank you for taking such amazing care of our boy.”
