Post Offices in Gilmer, TX

“This has been my first bad experience since moving to the area so I will adjust my rating accordingly. I had a package requiring a signature that was out for delivery today. I waited for the mail to run so I wouldn’t miss the delivery. I saw them delivering my mail at the mail box and assumed they would turn and come down my driveway to deliver the package, but to my surprise they just drove away. Marked the package as unable to deliver and left. I tried to call the post office 3 times afterwards and my calls were just left to ring. After reading the reviews I get the idea that the people who work here don’t like to do their job. I have filed a formal complaint and hope this can be addressed and fixed.

Update: changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I was never able to get ahold of the post office, but the mail carrier came the next day and was very kind and apologized for what happened! I really appreciate her going out of her way to apologize when most people would pretend nothing happened.”
