“Conrad (my daughters Polish rabbit) had a tooth thats was longer than the others. He would immediately be disqualified from show for this. We figured it out last week. I called 6 vets. Only 3 see rabbits. One said almost $1000 for the visit and procedure. What?! The procedure couldn't even be done for 3 weeks. Well, show is THIS WEEKEND. So I stumbled across Carrier Animal Hospital (2405 S. Carrier Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX). They made an appt for Tuesday. Iced in. We were able to get it rescheduled for 2pm today. The exotics vet they have, Sarah, is AMAZING. She was so knowledgeable about rabbits. She even had some herself. She was so good with Conrad. The exam and procedure took less than an hour and Conrad is as good as new. If you have exotic pets and need a vet...HIGHLY recommend Sarah at Carrier. So thankful I was able to find them.”
“Dr. Nelson and his staff are a very caring and compassionate group of folks. We were visiting family in Grand Prairie as part of a cross country RV trip when our cat became very ill on a weekend. The vet fit us into his schedule at the very first opportunity on Monday. The vet tech, Kia, was compassionate and skilled when examining our 19 year old cat, Sammie. Dr. Nelson recommended a course of treatment that worked very well for Sammie. The day before, he was so sick we thought he might die overnight. Since our visit last week, Sammie has made great improvement. Of course he is a 19 year old cat, so there are certainly no guarantees of him returning to and staying at full health for long. But Dr. Nelson has given him a chance and my wife and I are grateful.”
