“I live in Aransas Pass, but frequently go to the Walmart in Portland.. yesterday I stopped in with my list in hand and one of the items I could not find, and even tried pulling it up on my Walmart App as to aisle location..no luck! I saw an Associate nearby in Women’s and asked him. He told me aisle # but then said, “let me show you..”

“The lady at the register ignored me and overcharged me quite a bit. Many of the prices on merchandise are overpriced. I feel like they take advantage of people coming from Mexico who aren't familiar with US currency or prices typical for these products. I used to come often but under the circumstances, I wont be coming back anytime soon”

“We've been getting all our cakes made at our Portland HEB for years because they do it better, easier and cheaper than crossing the bridge to some fancy bakery in town. But they really outdid themselves with this crawfish cake we ordered for our *crawdads* this past Father's Day weekend. Everyone absolutely loved it! Thank you again HEB for making this occasion extra special.”
“I absolutely loved their gas pumps. It's all touch screen. I was disappointed in the fact that they had the lottery machine to buy tickets & quick picks, but it doesn't let you purchase the extra play. Very sad”

“I just really want to give a shout out to the whole crew who was working today at the Dollar general on April 2nd 2023. From the store manager to the other two guys that were there and they were willing to help me return an item that I had purchased out of town and I didn't need anymore because I was able to make it home they went above and beyond to help me and trying to figure out a way that I could return the item especially since I had purchased it on self checkout when the people in Ingleside have only had self checkout for a couple of weeks it was a learning curve for everybody and they still all took the time out of their day even though I was holding up everything they were still able to assist other customers while assisting me and trying to figure out how I could do a return on my item so I am thankful from the bottom of my heart because I have had horrible experiences with Dollar general in the past and not at this store in particular just other Dollar generals but this one is great I really recommend it for anybody The people are great and helpful And I am forever thankful.”

We live in AP but drive to Portland a lot because this H‑E‑B has a great seafood department and we enjoy fresh seafood. Other than the Saratoga location in Corpus, this is our favorite location. It is well stocked, maintained and managed. We buy a large quantity of organic products and usually find what we need at this location. Thank you H‑E‑B for finally carrying an organic bread line and organic pasta!!! No more pesticides in our bread and pasta! One step closer to being free of the pesticides toxicity.
