“Tonight I had to make a purchase for a needle. My large breed dog had a hematoma on her ear that was getting larger by the day. I didn't know what size would be best, but knew 18-22gauge is the area I was thinking. I think Lexi helped me, I couldn't find my receipt to confirm. She got the needle displays out. We settled on the 20 gauge 1 inch because I didn't want too long of a needle and didn't want it to move around if my dogs head moved too much. We also asked Siri and Google, lol. Our choice worked beautifully!!!Thank you Locke Hill for over 20yrs of amazing customer service. Everyone here is always helpful and kind. Here's to many more!”
“Friendly service as always, in a store that is always clean and so far, has not carried the scent that pet shops are associated with. It is the only place I get my crickets , dubias and hornworms for my reptile babies. Great prices help in this economy as it is. Definitely a recommendation for those tired of the larger store prices.”

“This place is amazing and I am willing to drive from Corpus Christi, Texas to board my dog because Dr Guerra and her staff are so caring with my dog . I never have to worry about my dog when I travel because they immediately call me if they have any concerns about my dog . Honestly and truly they treat my dog as if it was their very own dog . “First trip there today. Everyone was so friendly. I couldn't believe the price for a 60lb bag of cat litter. Amazing! I got that and a fee treats for my cats. The associate even carried the litter to my car. I will definitely be coming back.”
“I love the dog food and so does Daisy! Her coat is so shiny and her temperament is so lively. I see a 100% difference in her. The food comes in 3 different flavors (beef, chicken and turkey) and she loves all 3! Prices are reasonable and I trust the brand. Will definitely keep Daisy on Frenchies Kitchen dog food!♡♡♡”
“UPDATE: I received my Valentine's heart from Willie in the mail today. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The photos included were so wonderful! Got everything framed and arranged on my wall by my bed so I can say good morning/goodnight to Willie. The smile in his photo just warms my heart and I embrace the love I feel for this guy! Thank you so much Brooke! Your handwritten letter/message was so sweet! I'm envious that you get to work so closely with Willie. It would be a true honor if I got the chance to meet him one day. Thank you again to everyone at PPI for your dedication to keeping these babies safe and healthy! I'll be making another donation soon so they can have a party!!!!So incredibly excited to have found this Sanctuary! As a lover of chimpanzees from the time I was very young, my love has only grown over time. I received my custom painting from Willie this week and was so filled with happiness. I immediately ordered a Valentine's heart to add with it. Willie, who I knew as Virgil growing up, was the chimp that I first fell in love with. Such a sweet face and great personality! What's not to love?! I was happy to search online to find that he is alive and doing well in the hands of his caretakers at PPI. What a great organization you have!I'm not sure if you have tours or volunteer opportunities in regards to the chimpanzees, but it would be a DREAM to be able to take time off of work to come down to your Sanctuary and pitch in to contribute to your organization. I absolutely love their braided pull tabs and have had several, but unfortunately lost several off my very active young Labrador that tears through the woods. Lauren has been such a pleasure to work with as she tried to understand how/ why these would go missing , described what options were available and what might work best for me and my dog. My new leather is now in production ( along with generous savings) and I am so excited! It is so refreshing to work with such a positive company and consumer relations employee that goes above and beyond!!!! “Went there as it opened. If you want to see the dogs you have to have an appointment and give a drivers license. Better to call and ask for the details. All of the dogs are not cheap in price and expensive even at their lowest. Couple of grands. So stick with the rodents they’re way cheaper. They also have rabbits. They Do look well taken care of was clean on the inside and didn’t smell. They do have pet foods, supplies, toys and more.”

“DOG TRAINING - We have been enrolled in the AKC packages for about 3 months and have loved every session. Our trainer, Joie, has a vast wealth of knowledge and experience with all types of dogs in all stages of readiness. She is patient, kind, and takes the time to not only demonstrate proper techniques but also explains why she does it that way and how it benefits the learning of our furry family members. We have learned so much, not only about training, but normal behaviors, good feeding techniques, and ways to enrich our dog's lives.If I could give more than 5 stars, Joie earns it every time. If you have the opportunity to take advantage of learning from Joie, and using Petco's great pricing packages for all levels of training and learning, I would recommend it every time.”

“This store is the closest to me, and I haven't been to a Petco in a while. But I was very shocked at the amount of options of treats and dog food! To me Petco has a wider variety of healthy high quickly foods. I went here because I am transitioning my puppy to a new food which Petco carries- Tate of the wild! The transition is going well, and my puppy's fur is back to shining! Customer service was good, and the store was clean. They do charge $0.10 per plastic bag, which was fine for me.”

“My daughter’s stuffed turtle had went missing and it took us a full week to recall that his last appearance was at this store. We called thinking they wouldn’t have seen it but by surprise they held onto him for 7 days! You don’t understand how much it means to us, thank you for saving Turtle! :)”

“Store Atmosphere: The store reminded me of every other pet store (i.e. petsmart, petco). Not filthy, not spotless, but all to be expected. Maybe if they brighten the store its better lighting or higher ceilings, consumers will not comment so much on the yuck feeling. I wasn't looking to move in the place, so it was to reasonable standard for me...and I am a couple steps from a germaphobe. (Manage your expectations)Staff: Day one, the employee unlocked the door (I was there before open, waiting, bc I knew what I wanted), and waved me in...didn't open the door, just waved me in...not the best customer service but not going to allow that to stop me. I let her know what I was there for, and she politely told me she would be over shortly to help. From there, I had great customer service from every employee I encountered. They aren't super knowledgeable, but they sell it well enough. Never purchase a pup without doing your own homework. They are in sales...Pup: My pup arrived 1 day prior to me going in and putting a deposit on him. He came home about 5 days in total, from being at the store. He is happy, healthy, and soo sweet. The purchase/aftercare: When you spend the amount of money that we did, you never want to feel like you are being taken advantage of, which we did not get that vibe...however the forms you sign make you feel as if the store is preparing for the worse to happen and trying to legally cover their behinds. (Again...out pup is happy and healthy...I just wanted to communicate how the buying process can make consumers feel)I did find the breeder, who is AKC registered, so that brought comfort. We identified a vet that he went to the day after we purchased him, and they confirmed his health, which was a second layer of comfort. I did not like the vet that Petland referred us to...the doc was knowledgeable,but the place was gross. We transitioned our pup to a higher quality for almost immediately, and wasted the remaining of what we purchased at the time we got our pup. Lessons Learned: - Buy your dog's needs from Amazon. - Ask what they are feeding the dog before so you can get it cheaper elsewhere (just get the kibble, the vet told us that mixing the dry/wet/fresh food together is too much. That's what the store was doing)- I think we got a good pup bc they were not in the facility long, reduced exposure to illness (kennel cough)Will I buy another from Petland...yes & no. Yes, bc the experience was good. No, because it was too expensive. Go directly to the AKC website and drill down to their sales pages. The cost of shipping or picking up a pup will still be less than purchasing from the store.”
