The AC Hotel Houston Downtown is noted for its very convenient and perfect downtown location, close to everything. It is within walking distance of the theater district, federal courthouse, and many restaurants, and is right by trolley lines. The hotel building is very secure. Guests consistently describe the service as amazing, great, friendly, and professional, with staff going above and beyond. The rooms are decorated well, clean, comfortable, up-to-date, and had everything needed. The hotel overall is really nice and very affordable. The on-site bar and restaurant receive positive remarks. The food is very impressive, with specific praise for excellent, perfectly cooked chicken and tasty scrambled eggs. The breakfast buffet is also liked. While most areas are well-kept, one elevator floor was noted as a bit shabby. Despite this, guests highly recommend the hotel and state they will definitely stay again, making it their go-to choice in Houston.
Rooms are nice. Beds are meh. The homeless are a little annoying in the area but expected for a city.

I stayed here for an interview I had in the area. I didn't get the job but my stay was perfect. They are located in a perfect area and had GREAT SERVICE security guard even made sure I got to my Lyft safe in the early morning hours. Definitely recommend them for anyone staying in downtown Houston.

The rooms are set up weird, but they are clean and nice. The food and staff were great, hats off to them.
