“I’ve been living here since February 2026, and overall my experience has been really positive. My leasing manager Patty has been amazing, always responsive, professional, and quick to handle any maintenance requests. Anytime I’ve needed something, she has made sure it was taken care of promptly, which I really appreciate.

My one‑bedroom, one‑bath apartment is very spacious, which was a pleasant surprise when I moved in. The layout feels open and comfortable, and it’s been easy to make it feel like home. The property itself is always clean, and the upkeep around the community shows that management takes pride in maintaining the space.

The neighborhood is very quiet, and the neighbors have been friendly since I moved in. I also love that there are a few stores within walking distance, which makes quick errands really convenient. Being only about 18 to 20 minutes from downtown Houston is another big plus.

Like any complex, there have been a few hiccups. The water temperature has fluctuated a couple of times, and during heavy storms the power can go out for a bit before coming back on. Every time I’ve raised a concern, management has addressed it quickly and made sure I had what I needed. Their follow‑through is what makes the difference.

If you’re looking for a place with a team that truly shows up for residents, this has been a solid experience for me!!”

“After touring 15+ properties in the area, we can honestly say that Rue gave us the best treatment of anyone we worked with during our apartment search. From the moment we toured Vantage, he was incredibly welcoming, patient, knowledgeable, and attentive to our questions and individual needs.

He even went the extra mile by making us coffee and offering us water during our tour, those little touches that really stood out and made us feel genuinely welcomed rather than like just another prospective resident.
We ultimately decided on another housing option that was a better fit for our particular group and our different needs and preferences, but that had nothing to do with the service we received from Rue. He was truly exceptional throughout the process.

“5 stars — A Hidden Gem in Westchase
The Marquis at Westchase is a beautifully maintained community that immediately impresses with its mature trees, lush grassy spaces, and well-kept sidewalks — it genuinely feels like a neighborhood rather than just an apartment complex. As a dog owner, I especially appreciate the thoughtful amenities for pets: waste stations are plentiful and conveniently located throughout the property, and there is a small dog park on site.
The community is gated with app-based access, which adds a great sense of security and convenience. Floor plans are well-designed and make excellent use of space, with large bedrooms and generous closet space that are hard to find at this price point. Full-size washer and dryer units and attached garages are major pluses. Faux wood blinds are included throughout.
A couple of insider tips for prospective residents: if storage space is important to you, request a downstairs apartment — you will not regret it. Downstairs units also feature laminate flooring, which is a nice upgrade if that matters to you. The location cannot be beat — close to shopping, dining, and major roads, making errands and commuting genuinely easy.
Overall, the Marquis at Westchase delivers a comfortable, attractive, and well-amenitized living experience. Highly recommend!”

“The apartment people are so nice. They are so quiet the stuff who works the apartment. They are so nice too and they will do your job with nice and smile face and if you went to the office and if we have some complained or if you see something wrong, they will take care of right away, but the only problem I see in this apartment so far so good is rat. It doesn’t matter if it’s the apartment is new or old. I see a big problem with the rat and cockroaches and I wish they can do something about that. I see they do some help about giving us rat tape, but that doesn’t help. I wish they have some chemical spray department special on the summertime that they can come every house and spray for some chemical spray that way the rat and cockroach can be taken care other than that the house and the apartment and the office people are so nice and safety and quiet people. I hope they really do some change about the rat. Yes they’re taken care but it’s not helping for the Rat tape the givenness is not helping at all. I hope they do some chemical spray in the house and the around the apartment area. Thank you.”

“I recently moved into Yorktown Apartments, and overall, I have been extremely happy with my experience here. The property itself is beautiful, very well maintained, quiet, and feels incredibly secure. One of the things I appreciate most is how clean everything is — the hallways, common areas, and gym are always spotless and well cared for. The secure package room is also a huge plus and makes deliveries very convenient and worry-free.

The management team, staff, and maintenance crew have all been wonderful. Everyone is friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. I especially want to recognize Emily in the leasing office. She was incredibly kind, patient, and attentive throughout the entire process and truly helped me find the perfect apartment. She made what can sometimes be a stressful experience feel easy and enjoyable, and I’m very grateful for all of her help.

Another thing I really appreciate is that this is a very quiet, non-smoking property, and management does an excellent job enforcing the community rules. They do not tolerate issues such as smoking or other rule violations, which really helps keep the property clean, peaceful, and enjoyable for residents.

The only minor downsides I’ve noticed are that you do have to leave the property grounds to take dogs out to potty, and the hot water can take a few minutes to warm up. Other than those small things, this place has been absolutely wonderful.

Overall, Yorktown Apartments has exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, secure, and well-managed place to live.”

“Former resident offering review after living in the building for 1+ year.

Pros:
- Excellent location for someone who works at the medical center. Located right next to the above ground metro line, the location is great for someone looking to take the train to/from the hospitals or alternatively downtown.
- Well managed building. Ericka and team were responsive, professional, and there was nothing deficient with respect to living in the building.
- Maintenance: Service requests easily made through the app/resident portal, handled promptly. Maintenance team is very responsive and professional.
- Garage worked well. Never an issue with parking. Do not recommend paying extra for a reserved spot as there is no need.
- Valet: good free valet parking. Great for guests and residents if one is too lazy to park themselves. Note, valet shuts down late at night, which is fine normally unless you have a midnight booty call coming over. The valets are really nice, hardworking guys many from Africa. Really appreciated them.
- Elevators: 3 primary elevators and 1 service elevator were sufficient. Rarely broken. Easily reserve the service elevator for moves.
- Dog Park: there is a nice dog park with lots of space. Plenty of dogs in the building, mostly friendly. I was unhappy about the one resident with a large pit bull but it never ate my dog so that was fine.
- Gym: totally fine.
- Common areas: plenty of common areas. Not that I want to sit around other humans and socialize, but there are nice common rooms if that’s your thing.
- Other residents: people were pleasant, no issues.

Cons:
- Museum district is a weird location. You walk in one direction there are lovely museums, a nice park, and the zoo. You walk in the other direction and there are people passed out on the street on drugs. Houston has weird zoning, that’s just how this area is. In terms of walkability, there aren’t really any areas I would ever want to walk to. There is a vegan restaurant across the street that is meh and the closest coffee shop is in the art museum. But at least Houston is a driving city and you can drive to Rice Village easily.
- Pool: there is a nice pool but it is too cold. I rarely saw residents use it. I would have used it daily if an appropriate temperature. It’s odd that a pool is too cold because Texas is well, warm in general. But it’s chilly in the winter and then in the summer it rains and the building casts a shadow over the pool for a large portion of the day. So I really recommend the building heat the pool appropriately so residents can enjoy. This wouldn’t be as much of an issue if there was a jacuzzi, but there isn’t. So just please heat the pool for people.”

“I have had a good experience in the complex
My only concern is the gates are always broken.. they fixed it, and they keep breaking.

I wonder if the manager/whiever in charge is working forward to fix the problem 100% maybe changing the gates cause they seem too old or amy other permanent solution. Cause this is a safety problem.”

“I highly recommend Marquis on Pin Oak. My husband and I lived here for about a year and a half. The move in and out process was smooth, the front desk was always responsive and accommodating, and maintenance requests were always handled promptly. The community felt safe and had a friendly atmosphere with people often out walking and greeting each other. We lived in a one bedroom with a study and the layout was fantastic. Plenty of natural light, built ins, and an easy flow between spaces.”
