“I was visiting from North Texas and enjoyed mass this 4th of July weekend. I really like the smaller, personal local churches that feel more intimate with prayer and the parishioners. The audio system made it difficult to understand the priest, but he spoke from the heart with anecdotal experiences as it related to the readings. Such a refreshing moment when the priest doesn't read a prepared speech directly from the paper. I look forward to future visits as my family lives in this area.I read a comment regarding it being hot in church but they must have gotten it fixed as it felt great to celebrate Mass in such a cool and comfortable Church today.”

“My children have been participating Mother's Day Out program at Uvalde Baptist Church for 4 years. The director and staff are all amazing. They have great curriculum for children. My 4 year old finished the program reading and had 100% accuracy with being one of the top readers when he started kindergarten. I would highly recommend this program at Uvalde Baptist Church!”

“It was an excellent experience to see the whole service in real life. I was in Houston on a vacation and decided to visit the church. The band was great and had excellent worship, and Pastor Joel was just as his broadcasts. It is a good church overall. I recommend anyone who watches the Lakewood church service to visit for an experience if you are in Houston, TX. They have a free parking garage across the street. The church was very welcoming. They have an excellent bookstore there, also.”

“I originally started going here because a girl invited me and I thought she was cute (probably not the best reason to go to Church).A few years ago, I went through a really difficult spot in my life and was contemplating suicide. I had severe depression and anxiety. The people at this church (especially the pastors and staff) were there for me. They didn't act like they knew everything, but were there to listen and give support. If they weren't there I don't think I'd be here today. Not only am I happier than I can remember, but I'm able to use my experience to help others who are struggling. I was able to finish my master's degree and am almost done with a PhD. They have lots of great volunteering opportunities and through going here I have learned to be more compassionate, caring, and a better listener.”
