Fill out a quick form online, and get updates via email or text (we used text). Bradley and Jacob were our pickupteam, and they were amazing. They were earlier than scheduled which was perfectly fine (I was given notice when they were 40 minutes out), and were polite, friendly, professional, and efficient. I was lucky enough to spot an adorable armadillo during my visit! ? It was such a unique and memorable experience. Whether you're into birdwatching, hiking, or just enjoying the tranquility of nature, the Houston Arboretum is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The parking in the lot here is very easy you can pay through the mobile app or at a pay station. You definitely don't want to miss it! ??”

“I volunteered at Kids' Meals, Inc. by helping pack lunches for children ages 5 and under. We were told summer is the highest volume due to most kids being out of school - they are looking to provide 14,000 meals this year. They have 18 drivers in 56 zip codes in Houston - delivering meals 5 days a week.Some of you should consider giving back with your time at the very least - find a nonprofit that benefits our Houston community.M - F volunteer shifts 9 - 12 + 1230 - 230”

“This is a great art area, a community that was once almost deserted, but was revived by a few buddies with ideas. It’s really cool, and the staff are very enthusiastic. It just opened when we went there, and we visited every A house with great works on display. I like this place very much. “Just a reminder, this lounge is only for current members of the military forces. Retirees, and VA disabled will not be allowed to enter. You must have a CAC for members and spouses must have dependent ID....The lounge is small, but it a quick way to relax, grab a snack and or other items (hygiene, information, wifi, drinks). Everytime when I enter its not really busy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.....Ooooorah!!!”

“Emancipet as long as your furr baby isn't sick this is the best place to get them anything I got my cat at a shelter and it came with all his shots Microchip everything but after a year from there all his shots && flea medicine etc fsvr feline shots been from here yes they will be a big line almost all the time my cat is now 4yrs old still doing good happy to come here to Emancipet where they even sent you an email when his shots are due or when I want flea medicine you just walk in anytime cause no line for that $20 per visit use to be cheaper but still cheap for me and I always try to give a donation. At least a $1 so they can keep on giving us cheap prices thank you Emancipet”

After having the opportunity to visit the location today, I must say it was very clean, everything in side is first class. I am so PROUD to be a product of Fifth Ward, Texas home of the Purple & White. It was a pleasure meeting, Mrs. Marie Mure, is very professional and I notice she has a relationship with the SENIOR as well, as the YOUTH.P.S. It was so good seeing the Harris County Officers, helping the Children celebrate October 31st, early along with keeping them SAFE.I PRAY THOSE DOORS - NEVER CLOSE....... “I've never donated blood before, so coming in I was quite nervous, but the ladies here did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable.Mary helped me through the check-in process, answered all of my questions, and was very friendly. She assured me I was in good hands, and not to worry about anything.Once i went back to the donor area, they had plenty of goodies to keep my energy and hydration up while I waited. My wife was allowed to come back with me to the waiting area as well, and although she wasn't able to donate due to being anemic, they treated her with the same kindness as me.After waiting just a few minutes, my donor tech Joana called me back. She explained everything throughly, brought me some ice packs to keep my neck cool, and went over her experiences as a tech. I was very surprised at how well she performed the venipuncture since she had only been doing it for 2 years, and with this being her first job as a phlebotomy tech. I've had seasoned nurses stick me with 18 gauge needles where I almost passed out from the pain, but Joana was a pro, because I didn't feel it at all!As a seasoned phlebotomist and emt, I have to give this place cred, because it was the cleanest, most professional experience I've had in a while. As for the donation, I did feel a little weak afterwards, but they made sure I was safe, and that I sit for a while to rehydrate before leaving. I also had a small knot on my arm after I left, but I typically do that with larger bore needles, and it went away after using an ice pack. Overall it was a great experience, and I get to save a life in the process! I will definitely be back when my next appointment is due.”
