If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had a rental car booked and when I got there, the place looked abandoned as if there were no cars there or if they were closed. When we came in, it smelled like cigarettes. I spoke with the front desk and they said that they did not have any rental cars even though I had my confirmation number. The front desk seemed unwilling to find a solution. We ended up walking to enterprise who was able to rent us a car on a short notice! Take your business elsewhere.

Rented from Hertz at an off site location off the West Loop. Encountered a slight glitch and Natasha at the desk on site was beyond composed and professional . Thank you Natasha !

Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else, do not rent here. Even if the website accepts your payment and reservation, when you arrive they will tell you there are no cars. This is the second time this has happened to me, and I can confirm the negative reviews are 100% real. And customer service? Terrible. The employees working here for Hertz are ruining the business; everything is a disaster and it’s obvious that no one cares.

This is the worst Hertz in Houston. I’m not saying this because of one bad experience, but because this is already the fifth time I make a reservation here and the same thing happens: the website accepts it, but when I arrive, they tell me there are no cars available. It’s a complete lack of respect for customers. On top of that, customer service is horrible—staff treat you as if you’re bothering them, and if you try calling, they never answer. This location is completely unreliable; you will waste your time, your money, and your patience. I do not recommend this Hertz under any circumstances.

Zero stars if I could. I booked a rental and had my number. I came in and they told me that I wasn’t even on their list and they had 0/zero cars for me. They didn’t recommend any place either. The 2 ladies pretty much ignored me.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would.
I had a reservation for a 12-passenger van that I made two months in advance, and everything seemed fine—until the day before my pickup. That’s when they called and told me their vans had recalls.
It is completely unacceptable to wait until the day before to inform a customer that you have no rentals available. The representative said she would transfer my reservation to another location—35 minutes away.
When we arrived at that second location, they had no idea about our reservation, no vans available, and were extremely rude. They kept calling each other with no coordination whatsoever.
Do not rent from this company. They are incredibly unprofessional. If you want to put your family trip at risk, go ahead and book with them.
To make matters worse, the second location then asked my husband to drive all the way to Pearland for a van they weren’t even sure was available.
Thankfully, we found a reliable rental company—Elite Rent a car - with amazing customer service. They saved our trip.
As for the original location: the representatives are rude, unhelpful, and hang up on you. They need to be replaced, and this whole situation needs to be addressed immediately, or they will keep losing customers.

Scam Alert – Proceed with Caution
I have been a long-time Hertz customer and have never encountered any issues—until dealing with this particular location. Unfortunately, my experience here has raised serious concerns. After returning the rental vehicle in good condition, I was later issued a false incident report claiming damage that did not occur during my rental period.
I strongly advise anyone renting from this location to thoroughly document the vehicle with photos of all scratches and dents both before and after your rental.
Due to the nature of the false claim, I have submitted the matter to my attorney for further investigation and will continue pursuing the issue to ensure the responsible individuals are held accountable.
This experience has been deeply disappointing and unacceptable.

Walked in, and there was absolutely NO ONE in the office. After ten minutes, I decided to go to the back, where I found a corporate worker who told me they were here for only the day, and that the absence of available employees wasn’t her problem. Extremely disappointing.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I booked a vehicle in advance through Hertz, but when I called to confirm the reservation, I was told that the vehicle I reserved was not available. There was no apology, no alternative offered, and no effort to make things right.
The representative I spoke with was dismissive and showed zero regard for the inconvenience this caused. I planned my trip around this reservation, and Hertz showed absolutely no accountability or concern for honoring it. It’s unacceptable for a company of this size to operate with such disregard for their customers.
This experience was not just frustrating — it showed a complete lack of professionalism and basic customer service. I will not be using Hertz again and strongly advise others to consider a different rental company.

Staff awesome. Customer service, even at 8 in the a.m., is extremely pleasant. Store and parking lot clean. The price is ok. Car interior and exterior of the vehicle I rented were extremely clean. I would rent again if the price is right because of the staff.

I was assisted quickly got my vehicle however the leg space was hurting me and they had no other vehicles at location I was able to go to airport and they helped and changed me to another vehicle was greatly appreciated

The best rental experience ever. I was in and out and the staff was professional, polite, and prompt. I was thoroughly pleased at how close the rental location to my work and home and made it easier for me to rent the car. I went online, found the car I needed, place the order, picked up and dropped off quicker than I expected. I was provide adequate notice for order confirmation, reminder of my return, asked if I needed more time. It was overall a great and exceed my expectations. The woman who works there with long curly hair and glasses is fantastic!
