Horrible!!! Don't rent a car from them. I went to pick up my rental, they had a sign saying their office was closed for the weekend. People were waiting outside the closed office and got no answers. No one was answering their phones. To make matters worse they still charged me for a rental I never received!!!!!!! Never again!!!!!!! Go to Enterprise!!!!

đŤThis Hertz location absolutely needs to be investigatedâespecially an employee named ANDREA (the first person sitting at the desk) . She is by far the most unprofessional rental agent I have ever encountered. She told me, verbatim, âyou are a bum because youâre renting out a car.â Then she insulted my husband by saying he had no money because he used a secured credit card. That comment alone proves she doesnât even understand how secured cards workâsecured means youâre using your own money. Her ignorance and judgmental attitude are beyond unacceptable.
To make matters worse, because we refused to let her bully us or abuse her position, Andrea actually called the police on us. All because we stood our ground and wouldnât let her push her false authority over us. That is not how a professional representative of Hertzâor any companyâshould behave.
Itâs clear she thinks she has power over people, but that doesnât work with customers who are open-minded and aware of their rights. Her behavior is not only insulting and unethical, it reflects a serious lack of training and accountability at this location.
Corporate needs to take a very close look at Andrea and this entire branch. Based on how many bad reviews already mention employees at this location being rude and unprofessional, I am strongly considering legal options against their practices. At this point, it honestly looks like grounds for a class action lawsuit.
For anyone thinking about renting here: stay away. Donât waste your time, money, or energy dealing with this type of treatment.

Terrible experience at this Hertz location. When I picked up my rental, the driverâs seat already had burn marks and the car had a faint odor. I didnât make it an issue because it wasnât a big deal to me, and I even returned the vehicle cleaner than it was when I got it.
But when I dropped it off, the lady who checked the car suddenly claimed it âsmelled like smokeâ and slapped me with a $500 smoking fee. Completely unfair and unethicalâespecially since the car already had burn marks before I ever touched it. Clearly, Hertz knew about the damage but still rented it out, setting the next customer (me) up to take the blame.
Charging customers for pre-existing issues is wrong, and this location should be held accountable for practices like this. Save yourself the stress and go to literally any other rental company nearby. This place is a rip-off and not worth the headache

The rental car was very dirty inside and smelled like wet dog. The interior of the windshield was so foggy it was obviously not cleaned for months. I literally had to go home and clean the windshield myself to be able to see properly and reduce glare. I ended up cleaning the dashboard and touch surfaces but the smell stayed unfortunately and sadly me and my family were stuck in a smelly car for over a week. The car drove ok and pick up and drop off was fine. I never expected such a low quality service from hertz. While the location next to Santa Ana Body Shop is convenient, there is a nearby enterprise and the shop can drop you off there to get a rental.

Horrible never rent a car from here! I booked a vehicle in a week in advance for a one way trip. Got a call 8:00am the morning of as Iâm on my way there was told by a lady named Andrea that she would have to cancel my reservation the morning of. I asked her to speak to a manager she told me that there wasnât one in she was out on vacation I asked for a vehicle in a different class she told me there wasnât one then retracted to tell me that there were suvs available. I told her i donât care what it is just put me in one she wanted to charge me more instead of the rate that was agreed upon a week prior to me booking. I then asked why didnât she call me prior to the reservation knowing there werenât any cars available she proceeded to hang up on me. I called back and asked her to get me someone higher than her or honor the rate initially agreed she said she didnât really know anything and that her co workers before her left her with all this mess and that she had to cancel so many more peopleâs reservations as well, I told her that she didnât offer anything else per policy nor did she attempt to make it right she just kept saying how she didnât know anything. She then proceeded to hang up again. So I contacted customer service via the app chat and spoke with Aida C. Who was pretty much incompetent the entire chat and clearly didnât understand what I was explaining and ended up the chat as well. Called corporates number they scheduled me a rental for the same time as the previous on for the location on West Loop South. Told me the price would be $3 more than what I was initially paying. By the time I get there I give them my reservation number they told me they didnât have any vehicles available. I then called the corporate number again explained it all over the phone to a representative and she even went as far as to call the location back and put me on a 3 way call with Andrea who blatantly lied over the phone. The rep then asked if Andrea could check her inventory and honor the rate initially agreed upon she said she couldnât do so because she was not in the office at the moment she was driving so the rep ended the call with her. Long story short I went to enterprise and got a car within minutes. Will be cancelling my hertz membership immediately. Never use this location ever worst service I ever received. Never would recommend never using hertz ever again.

I want to start off by saying that Datiana was wonderful to work with. Sheâs a very sweet individual and respectful. Thereâs a particular review trying to indicate otherwise and I was actually there in person to witness the event and she was not only physically accosted by the customer she repeatedly had to say âdo not touch meâ. The customer was sent to another location because she was being belligerent and disruptive. Datiana handled it professionally, did not accept disrespect while still being respectful herself and even after such a horrible interaction with that customer still greeted us with a smile and kindness.

Horrible experience! I reserved a car at this location. I called to let them know I was running about 10 minutes late and to confirm this would not affect my rental car or anything. They stated it would not. When I arrived she told me some since
I was late they gave my car away and I would have to upgrade or get an electric car (also an update). I was so upset. After paying more for an upgraded car, she hands me the keys the to a dirty vehicle and one that reeked of smoke. It looked like someone left a window open and a bird pooped in the car and no one bothered to clean it. If I canât post the video I will. I went back in and told her and comes out smelled it and said it doesnât smell like anything. My sister get in and smelled the same thing. I asked if she would notate the account anyway. Driving the car, itâs clear there was an accident or something happened because the back door vibrated and was soooo loud! The communication was horrible. I will not be renting from this location ever again.

We booked a car this morning and received a confirmation number showing it was available. After driving 12 minutes with my wife and child, we arrived and waited for a while. Then they told us they couldnât give us a car because there was no availability. I saw about five or six other people in line, and they were being told that if someone returned a car, they might get one. It didnât make any sense. Also, the place felt a bit creepyâit was set up inside a body shop.

UPDATE: I spoke with corporate and they have refunded me and gave me points for having to deal with such an awful human being. Apparently there's already an investigation underway for her. Anyone that feels disrespected, call corporate please! Initially I was angry and upset but her having me sent to a different location, making me cry, and authorizing a payment on my card I didnât consent for worked out in my favor. Thanks Datiana.
As a presidential member with Hertz, this location is truly going downhill. It starts with customer service, and when you have an employee that is reactive and not understanding to a customers needs then things can go left quickly. I had an issue with Datiana Bolden, she goes by (Dot). Sheâs just very rude and will use her âpowerâ against you. She sent me to another location to close out my reservation simply because I didnât have a good experience with her when renting due to lies. This triggered her and she insisted that I was yelling and stated she gave me multiple chances. Are we in a relationship or am I customer trying to return my vehicle? What do you mean multiple chances? Iâve spoken to you TWICE and if I didnât have a good experience and felt lied to then that doesnât mean you can refuse service to me. She also states, âIâm not Tiffany. You can talk to her this way but not me.â First of all, Tiffany (an old employee that many people miss and love) would never do what youâre doing. After refusing to accept the return, keep in mind Iâm a presidential member, I finally go to a location thatâs fifteen minutes away. When I got to the new location I was in tears, simply because I knew that I wasnât being treated fairly. I explained to them what happened and they accepted the vehicle and took off all the excessive fees that Dot KNEW I would have to pay for dropping it off at a new location. The workers at this location also told me that customers always come to them from this location due to customer service issues. I learned through other Hertz employees the different games that these people like Dot run on their customers and itâs not fair. She will do anything to get a car out, will promise you things and wonât deliver and whenever you follow up or call her out, sheâll use her power and say, âIâm sorry I canât help you. Youâre being aggressive. Youâre being loud.â Itâs always something. And itâs NEVER HER. Itâs always the customers fault. I feel horrible for the owners of this store. And to the young girl that Dot was training, please donât be like her! Right now as you can see by the reviews, no one likes this location because of her. BEWARE. To the owners, bring back Tiffany and Kim!
