Houston Garden Centers offers a good selection of plants, including roses, other plants, fertilizers, and grass sod. Prices are great and better than others for some items. The staff can be nice and helpful. However, employees are sometimes not knowledgeable about plants and can be difficult to communicate with due to language barriers. Shoppers should watch for items that might be dying and note that popular sod is often out of stock but restocked weekly. Despite the heat, the center maintains a pretty good variety for yearly gardening needs.
