Hours: Village at Palm Center is a brand new community offering a great location in the center of the OST-South Union neighborhood. The community features modern amenities including a resort-style pool, BBQ stations, a dog park, a fitness center, granite countertops, and energy-efficient appliances. Residents appreciate the close proximity to major freeways, commercial shopping, the Texan's YMCA, a new library, and the Texas Medical Center. The apartments are nice, and the staff is generally helpful, although some residents have reported difficulty reaching the office by phone. Despite some initial skepticism, many residents are satisfied with their experience, noting that the staff assisted them with the move-in process and promptly addressed any maintenance issues. However, there are some concerns regarding vehicle safety and resident adherence to fireworks regulations. During past holidays, some residents have ignited fireworks with impunity, which poses a fire risk in the dry state. Additionally, there have been instances of excessive and unregulated vehicle traffic, with near-miss incidents involving children in the streets. Residents suggest the need for speed bumps and ingress/egress gates to address these safety concerns.
