My Experience at the Lab:
I am a cancer patient currently undergoing chemotherapy, and I visited your lab today as a walk-in patient, despite my physical weakness. I was made to wait for two and a half hours, which was physically exhausting and unacceptable for someone in my condition.
What concerned me the most was the lack of hygiene and patient safety. The nurse who came to draw my blood did not change her gloves after touching door handles, typing on the keyboard, and possibly interacting with other patients. She then approached me to draw blood using the same contaminated gloves.
I had to personally ask her to change the gloves, explaining that I’m undergoing chemotherapy and that any virus or bacteria could seriously threaten my life due to my weakened immune system. This should never have been necessary — proper hygiene should be automatic and strictly enforced.
To make matters worse, when I returned home, I found that blood was still oozing from the puncture site, showing poor technique or lack of proper post-procedure care.
This experience left me feeling unsafe, vulnerable, and disappointed. I hope the management takes this seriously and improves both the professionalism and infection control standards of the staff.

My secondary insurance is Tricare, which does not have an insurance card. The entire encounter process is automated, so it's difficult to talk to a human. I'm sure this is to cut cost. When I tried to call, the hold time was estimated at 40 min. I hung up.

My doctor wanted a stat blood draw. Erica was so professional, gentle, friendly and it was almost closing time. I was so relieved! Her smile was contagious even after she had had a very long and busy day she made my day!

Want to talk about UNPROFESSIONAL. I get that it’s getting close to the end of business hours, but I got here 20 minutes before closing, per my dr request. I am pregnant and think I may have an uti. And was met with attitude and eye rolling and was told “yeah we really only take appointments.” Even though it says walk ins welcome. Once called back was met with more attitude “we are only taking you because you’re here but next time we won’t take you unless you have an appointment.”
I get to the bathroom to leave my sample there are no paper towels, no sanitary wipes, and no trash cans! And was told to pee in a plastic cup that looks like something you would get Togo soup in. Whoever supervises this location needs to do better. Between the attitudes they got with all three people waiting and the lack of supplies in the bathrooms I’m surprised they’re still in business.

Erica Phlebotomy supervisor assistant she is rude front of patients and she discrimination towards me yelling me I just ask about walking in every one waiting I just told her I will wait she keep telling me I have to live when everyone walking in sitting and waiting I have a witness she is a nurse she is shock she left. Supervisor talk with me nothing much change when I went draw blood she look me funny way and sarcastic really disappointed I use to like to go there I am not sure after all I be trusted other places she really disrespectful and make me stressed out and makee a cry.
