Spec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods is a large, locally owned beverage superstore. This particular location is described as the flagship store and by far the best, not like a typical liquor store. It is a candy store for adults, so big that some have never seen anything like it. The store has an amazing selection, including a quite nice collection of bourbons, speciality liquor, gourmet foods, a bakery, and an excellent deli. Shoppers can find items here that other locations do not have. The overall atmosphere is warm and friendly. It is a busy location with some of the best customer service hands down. The staff is friendly, approachable, very knowledgeable, and always around to assist with a smile. The prices are convenient and the in-store deals are hard to ignore. Many recommend it for a unique shopping experience, especially during the Holidays for gifts, and say it is well worth the drive.

I love going to Spec's for lunch. The food is always fresh . I met this lady by the name of Ms. Barbara and she is a very sweet person who works in Finer Foods. I just love her and everything in the store!

The Smith Street location is iconic it's been there as long as I can remember I will say prices are better at a Total wine but there isn't really one near downtown so. You can also pick up a sandwich they're decent fair prices if you need a quick bite
