Can’t imagine working with a worse company. After one year into my three contract, my services went from $175 per month to $430. After contacting my representative (Hillary Albin) I was told that this was due to state and city mandates. The representative then acknowledged that she knew this would happen but failed to mention it before I signed my three year contract. Her only resolve was to sign a new three year contract with a subpar discount. After spending hours on the phone, she was of no help and told me she had no idea what it would cost to terminate my contract. After mailing in three different letters on cancellation, she then knowingly told me that she did know how much it would cost to cancel and admitted to telling me a lie and apologized. I asked multiple times for this to be escalated to which she told me she’s the top and there’s no one else to escalate it to (again another lie). Months later and multiple certified letters to cancel my account, it is still active and still being billed. Customer service is garbage with WM

One year after we moved our business to a different address. They didn't show up to pick up the garbage. When I called they said I had a bill on our previous location. How do you come up with something like that after a year. Not only that before we moved we had to pay to relocate the dumpste. But no they decided to not give me service because of that bill that just popped up and we did not know about it. And all this while having automatic payments. You guys are a big scam. I STRONGLY ADVISE TO ANY NEW CUSTOMER TO LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE

On Monday 9/18/2023, your trash truck destroyed my tree and scattered limbs all over my property and the street directly in front of my house. I have emailed, gone on live chat and called numerous times. Your management team will not call me back. Your company is truly garbage. I hope you eventually file bankruptcy and your shareholders take it up the posterior.

This trash company is trash all they ever is lie..like its in their training class to lie to customers to get tgem off the phone..my trash was placed on the curb Wednesday 7/26 for 12noon pickup on Thursday why is my trash still stinking & sitting in the same spot. Called this morning for the lazy customer service lady to answer the phon like i woke her up out of a good sleep. Just no enthusiasm. I asked why was my rash not pucked last week or yesterday she tells me oh its scheduled for today..thats not what I asked you she says but its scheduled for pickup today thankbyou for calking WM. So I decided to call back at 420 to verify had they been on my street and to let them know i was not happy and let me speak with a manager or supervisor Ms Tiffany in Escalations wasnt any better she says to me the note driver put in " i came by at 120 yesterday and trash was not on the curb..that was an absolute lie because again my can was sitting out since last Wednesday and was never moved its very stinky and gross sitting in the sun all day..Ms. Tiffany says like she cares so much oh I will definitely send one of my drivers out today it will not be there for the weekend guess what no trash truck..i told TIFFANY that the driver is such a liar because i checked my cameras frim last week and there was WM truck on my street unless he came in his own vehicle and unless he came by at 120am even if he did my can was still sitting out since last week. Im so pissed right now just refund my money ill do better taking my own trash out..because this company should not even be in business.This the 2nd time this has happened where the drivers and agents are lazy liars for no good reason with no customer service training or etiquette. I advise anyone please bypass this company I dont ever leave reviews but this foolishness deserves to be thrown under the bus with all these 1 star reviews.

It's a NO for me. I just spent over 2 hours online and, on the phone, simply trying to cancel my services because I am moving. Absolutely no way to do this online, it's like they want you to struggle so you'll give up, forget it and pay for it until you finally get someone to talk to you. Been a customer for a year and anytime I needed cust service, it was brutal to get anyone to help me. Signing up was not fun either but it was my only option in my area. WHY do you make it so difficult to end service???????????????? Choose another provider if you don't want to lose your mind.

This is one of the WORST companies I have ever worked with! They do not respond to emails. You can never get them on the phone. And they add crazy fees to your bill and you can't reason with them!

We use WM and have since we moved into this house (2-3 years). I have not had many issues with the service itself, they even promptly replaced our trash can after someone ran it over and completely made it unusable.I did have a recent experience I am not happy with though. I would say, as long as you dont have an urgent issue if your pick up gets delayed for reasons you can not control (construction, accidents etc) all will be well.However, as a family of 4, we fill a good sized trash can per week. Trash pick up is on tuesday Mornings for us. This specific incident, we were having a birthday party on that following weekend. They were unable to pick up on tuesday due to construction- which I absolutly understand. And, had we not been planning a party that weekend it would not had been an issue. (Also, we live in the country, any bags left outside of a can get rummaged through and spread throughout the yards). So i tried to call through the WM number and was greeted with Lisa, the automated system. Lisa has some issues. There were no options to speak to a representative. She did have an option to schedule a pick up, however, she kept telling me that "bulk pickup was not offered in my area" but thats not even what I asked her for. I tried 6 or so more times trying to speak clearer or to speak with a person before I caved and found a local WM office number.I explained the situation and the lady promptly and sternly told me that they WOULDNT AND SHE REFUSED to schedule me for another pick up and they would pick up on the regularly scheduled following tuesday, and to put all extra bags alongside the can and they would be picked up. I explained that we couldnt do that because of the wild animals that would make an absolute mess of my yard and the neighboring fields. She basically told me I was SOL.At this point I was livid. I was irritated with the automated system. I was dissapointed that this lady refused me some sort of service pick up, after the construction was over for what I deem special circumstances that were out of my control.I tracked down the number for Waste management headquarters in Texas. I called, spoke with a very nice woman whose name I cant remember. I explained to her the situation and she apologized on behalf of the local wm and scheduled me a pickup for next day. She then called and followed up to make sure they did in fact pick up.They did pick up. And they went above and beyond. They swapped out our trash can for a newer one. Which was a nice gesture. I dont know if this was how she fit us into the schedule or not ( adding us on to a trucks route that was dropping fresh cans off) but it was a welcome surprise.While on the phone with WM Texas headquarters, I askes if she could direct me to where I could file a complaint. The complaint did not come at the fault of the service per say, the trucks, the workers(save from the lady who denied me a pick up in this what I would consider special instance-construction) or the cans... but rather the automated system. HQ informed me that in order to speak with a representative through Lisa, you have to say a very very specific phrase.So, WM, if you see this. Please work on Lisa. She needs more and clearer options. "Customer service" "human" "representative" things like that to be able to actually talk to someone, would make her so much easier to work with. While your at it, maybe add a "schedule an extra pick up" to Lisa, the app as well as your services in general for those rare but necessary pick ups, in the event of no pick up due to construction, accidents... etc.... the things we as consumers can not control.

30+ minutes on hold just to cancel my service. Save yourself the trouble and sign up with a different company for trash pickup. If you're reading this then I'm probably still waiting to speak to living customer service rep.

Have a request for a new can that was previously damaged by driver,have been told it would be today,but did not happen,this company has nothing but broken promises to operate off of,very poor service,I haven't been able to have a garbage can for almost 2 weeks.

Worst online, phone and customer service experience I have ever had. Trying to setup new service for a business location, Never have I ever wanted to choke out a virtual assistant as much as I do right now. Keeps asking for a customer number, how can you have a customer number with out being a customer. At this point, my company will never be a customer. I don't leave reviews very often, but this one deserves a zero star...

Way over priced for mediocre service after 20 years I canceled my service I live In Rockaway NJ and wm had every house in Rockaway now they have lost almost every house in the town because of greed I went somewhere else for 85 a quarter instead of 120 a quarter for pick up once a week from WM management needs to be fired because they obviously dont care about customer service or keep tabs on the management in other locations because they would see how many customers are complaining and leaving WM

Honestly don't understand why WM still using dispatches. They are the most unhelpful, disrespectful people I have ever met. There's probably like 1 or 2 who are great. WM increasing there rates for services but drivers not seeing any of that. WM administrative budget is just to high and that's why they're struggling to pay drivers. They are paying unnecessary people to do nothing but sit at home. They don't help drivers like they are paid to do! WM it's time to change the way you operate;
