Dr. Paul, Bailey, and the entire staff at Deer Creek are phenomenal! They saved our dog this week after an accident. They were about to close for the day when we called, but they stayed after hours to care for him. They were so kind, even though they were probably exhausted. They made sure our dog and we were comfortable the entire time, and I will never be able to thank them enough! If you are in the Hill Country (or not) and need a great vet, I recommend Dr. Paul and Dr. Kristin!

Had a great first visit yesterday. We met Daniel the owner who was very friendly and helpful with our wine selections and a pleasure to talk with for a bit. First, we enjoyed a couple of flights and the Only Gouda Times appetizer, which was delicious. From all the wines we liked we chose a bottle of Tempranillo to go with our two huge sandwiches, the Mom's and the Italian (both recommended). The wines were great and all of the food was quality in taste and presentation. We've got our new favorite spot in Johnson City! Highly recommended!!

Johnson City Coffee Co.

We are traveling and happened to drive past this intriguing little coffee shop. We had time so we turned around and decided to go inside rather than through the drive through. This place is a GEM! There are so many options for customizing your preferred beverage of choice. It is a perfect blend of contemporary comfort and Texas charm. We bought two muffins and three cookies to go with our coffee. They were delicious. I don't know when we'll have the need to be in this area again, but I'd look forward to any reason to stop back at this charming little coffee shop.

Farmhouse Vineyards Marketplace & “Tipsy” Trailer

We visited Farmhouse tasting room for the first time. Cami, our host, was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Owners are farmers and wine makers - good combination. We also had a really good charcuterie board. This will be one of our regular stops when we’re in the Holl Country!

Visited Herencia Cuisine while on a weekend getaway at Exotic Zoo Resort. We got a to-go go order of Brussels sprouts, chicken ravioli, and Chicken pesto panini. The order took a while to make but the chef was kind so it balances the wait time. Plus he gave us extra chicken to make up for the wait. The Brussels sprouts and ravioli were amazing. Loved it. The chicken panini however was a little dry. It would have been 5 stars if the chicken was more juicy. It is also a bit overpriced but that was pretty much all restaurants in the area.

Silver Dollar Bistro

I spent two nights at Silver dollar recently. The accommodations are absolutely perfect. They're clean and there are so many cute little touches thatmake the cabins a pleasure to stay in. The winery has a variety of great wines. And their pizzas are fabulous. Everyone who works there goes out of their way to make you feel at home. 10/10

We drove past the castle and had to stop by. Out of the three wineries we tried that day this one was truly our favorite. Nick was great, very knowledgeable and the nicest. We will most definitely make this our go to next time we’re in town.

Outstanding service was provided from Tanner and Maddie!! Not to mention the food was delicious and served hot and tasty! Gucci the mini Dachshund was served a delicious “made to order” hamburger patty fresh from the grill! Everyone enjoyed a great dining experience and we look forward to returning to this special place for another excellent dining experience!
