101 Heritage Dr, Johnson CityDr. Paul, Bailey, and the entire staff at Deer Creek are phenomenal! They saved our dog this week after an accident. They were about to close for the day when we called, but they stayed after hours to care for him. They were so kind, even though they were probably exhausted. They made sure our dog and we were comfortable the entire time, and I will never be able to thank them enough! If you are in the Hill Country (or not) and need a great vet, I recommend Dr. Paul and Dr. Kristin!

Christophe is a gem of a man and amazing chef. His burgers are made with top quality meat and don’t scoff at the price! They are more than worth it. Not our first time by any means but Christophe has outdone himself this time. The “Italianese” Italian/Japanese fusion burger concoction he’s come up this week was divine. Truly one of the best we’ve ever eaten.

402 E Main St, Johnson CityWe visited Farmhouse tasting room for the first time. Cami, our host, was friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. Owners are farmers and wine makers - good combination. We also had a really good charcuterie board. This will be one of our regular stops when we’re in the Holl Country!

Margaret was a wonderful host and placed my wife and I next to the hummingbirds while we sampled excellent wine and beer over freshly-baked Italian bread and oil. There are a lot of winery options in the area, but if you want a personal touch with delicious offerings, this is the one to visit.

Fat Boy Burgers
104 US-281, Johnson CityGreat burgers, only gets 4 star because of the so called blackberry cobbler. Manager told me that they make it with fruit on the bottom and crust on top... it looked like toast with jam and was about the same size for 2.98$. I've had better cobbler. Stay away from the desert and you'll be fine.
