Education in Action takes Texas students on experiential learning travel programs. Lone Star Leadership Academy: Outstanding 3rd-8th grade students nominated by educators based on demonstrated leadership ability travel to Dallas, Austin or Houston for these weeklong, overnight summer camps. Participants experience significant Texas sites while developing leadership skills and learning about Texas leaders and unique careers. Discover Texas Field Trips: Texas teachers take their students on one-day social studies and science travel programs/field trips to significant Texas sites. These experiences supplement classroom learning. Education in Action handles all details for the teachers, including charter buses and TEKS-based curriculum.
My son had a great time at the Dallas/Ft. Worth camp. He enjoyed meeting new friends, growing his leadership skills and learning new things at all of the places they went to. He cannot wait until next summer’s camp!

Awesome program that helped our students experience Texas' history virtually. Our fourth graders really enjoyed the program from beginning to end. So glad we were able to bring this to our kids since field trips were not possible this year!
