“Total 5 star facility. Cathy works the front and makes sure you have everything you need. Lots of questions to answer -- it's best to answer them online before you enter the facility. Carter BloodCare has an app for that!Next you head in for a preliminary test. This makes sure your blood is within certain levels and is more likely to be accepted.Then it's on to a nice comfy lounge chair recliner, where you get set for the needle and bags. This facility has a large screen tv, so we got to watch Godzilla movie (with Jack Black). Snacks are provided before, during, and/or after. Granola, Oreos, nutter butters are just some of the goodies. They'll keep you hydrated with Gatorade, water, and Powerade.You can sign up to give blood or platelets. If accepted for the platelet donations, they offer up to $100 per donation.Each month Carter Blood offers a different handout. This month was specialized tshirts. “I really enjoy shopping here. Items are displayed and staged nicely. The store is always evolving giving new and fresh decorating ideas. I believe in their mission, and believe it’s a great charity. Laurie ( The Manager) is always available and helpful with an excellent support staff which includes Emily and a nice young man. I forget his name. Watch for sales as they change constantly and follow them on their Facebook page. Seriously run, don’t walk to get your next treasure!”
