La Posada Hotel is a historic and grand four-diamond hotel on the US/Mexico border in a central downtown location, overlooking the public square and near the river. It is an old-school hotel with loads of rooms, described as very clean, quiet, carpeted, and spacious with large bathrooms, steaming hot water, and nice balconies. The hotel offers incredible and very friendly service, with employees frequently offering assistance. Facilities include a nice pool, an exercise room, and two restaurants, including the Tack Room, where food is quick, quality, and as expected with above-par service. The hotel provides a safe environment with great lighting and visible security. Its walkability is excellent, near historical buildings and within walking distance of Mexico. Many guests recommend it as a favorite place to rest.
Great location. Lots of lighting in and around plaza. Lots of foot traffic. Shame that very few businesses open or shuttered at night.
Did not stay the night just waited for friends in front of hotel.

Great people and a cool bit of history. Helpful, nice staff that make your experience even better. My bed was so comfortable. The room was bang! The place is bigger than you think, they've got two pools! Right by the square and close to the bridge. Stay there, tell them hi for me😄
