“I first learned about Half Price Books as a freshman in college in the 80's and have been a fan since then. I hope there will always be book stores and libraries.”
“When I say HUGE election of books, that is an understatement. They have everything you could possibly imagine from every subject area. This reminded me of the used bookstores that were all over our area back in the late 80’s that I used to visit with my grandma. Staff and owner are super sweet. Their sign says they buy books, but they told us that they are more donation only right now. Can beat their prices either. We will be back!”
“I love to walk in and spend an hour or three browsing. This store had a huge selection. I did not make it to the audio section, but it is huge as well. Buy the books!! And their handy tote bags. ?”
“Updated. I alternate my visits periodically, between here on Fairmont and the Barnes & Noble in Webster. To view any store changes between them. The notable differences are that this one on Fairmont Pkwy still aligns with the Starbucks coffee company and the one in Webster left after the pandemic. Its a noticeable thing and rather sad because no other franchise has been willing or lured in to follow in the Starbucks shadow.”
“I wish I had done some research and discovered this site 2 years ago when my honey was incarcerated! Thank you so much for making it soooo much less expensive to keep him reading and not getting bored!! Idle hands do the devils dirty work.”
“Great pickup service. Online is better than in person because service can be very slow to be honest. Depending on case scenario. Tho was annoyed cashier dropped my new book on counter after being startled over a phone call distraction.”
“Didn't buy a single thing over stayed looking at all the books and never once felt like a over stayed my welcome. I was hunting for 1st editions to beef up my collection.”
