“Our family enjoys the Perry Family YMCA. I have been a coach for 2 seasons. The staff is supportive of their volunteers. My youngest daughter has fallen in love with volleyball since she has played on their recreational team.”

“? Good donation center. Took things we no longer need and was too good to go to garbage. The place next to them is vacant and this location is NOT a store its only for donations. Not sure why they call it Houston. This is Marina Bay Drive, League City ,Texas?”

“This was the most efficient and friendly drop-off I have ever experienced in our many years of donating to Goodwill. They saw me pull up and a lady walked out with a push cart all the way to our van for me to set our boxes on, and had a receipt ready to go! Thank you!”

“I've been thrifting since I furnished my first apartment back in 2005, so I’ve seen the full spectrum of thrift stores. While I do miss the old first responder discount days, their current rewards program is still fantastic. Beyond just finding good deals, I have a deep respect for Goodwill Houston’s mission. During my 17 years in law enforcement, I crossed paths with many individuals who were desperately trying to change their lives, whether they were defeating addiction, navigating a disability, or just needing a second chance to build a career. Goodwill and its Connect Centers provide the real-world foundation for people to master the art of gaining fulfilling employment, and that is a mission worth supporting.

Standout Organization & Cleanliness:

Focusing specifically on this Victory Lakes location, the cleanliness and organization are top-tier. I've shopped at other high-volume locations, like the NASA store and many in Houston, and the difference here is night and day. You never have to hunt for a shopping cart; the staff is incredibly attentive and constantly cycles them back to the front. The donation center attendants are equally polite and quick to help when dropping off goods.

Smart Store Changes:

The store recently made two major operational changes that I think deserve praise, even if they take some getting used to. First, they removed the fitting rooms. Since clothes aren't washed between donation and the sales floor, and considering the amount of retail theft that typically happens in fitting areas, this is a logical move for both hygiene and loss prevention. Their return and exchange policies are more than adequate to make up for it. Second, they recently color-coded all the clothing instead of just sorting by size. As a customer, this makes browsing incredibly efficient, and I can only imagine the massive undertaking this was for the floor staff to execute.

Incredible Staff & Management:

The efficiency of this store really shines at the checkout. Despite the heavy foot traffic you expect in League City, the cashiers handle the volume beautifully. I’ve been helped by several different cashiers over many trips, and every single one has been fast, accurate, and totally unfazed by on-the-fly pricing questions or account issues. The lines rarely stay long.

A Quick Note on Rounding Up:

Finally, I encourage everyone shopping here to round up their total to the nearest dollar at the register. Giving up a few cents in change is an effortless way to support a great charity, but it also directly supports the hardworking staff who are often evaluated by corporate on these mission metrics. I’ve brought several friends to this store who are now regulars, and it remains my definitive recommendation for the area.”
