“I don't usually write reviews, but I had to share my exceptional experience at Calloways and with Layne. After moving here from out of state a year ago, I started visiting Calloways every Sunday after church. I first met Layne about a year ago, and her knowledge and expertise in helping me establish my indoor plants was second to none. I consider myself to have a decent green thumb, but she really helped me understand the plants I was buying and the care they needed.

Fast forward to the summer of 2024, I still go to Layne for everything. I just put new sod in my yard this spring and was ready to plant my flowerbeds. Layne helped me choose the most beautiful flowers and arranged for them to be professionally installed. I can't say enough about her customer service and her passion for plants. Calloways always has the best quality plants and products, and they even guarantee all the plants you buy from them, which is incredible.

I 100% recommend Calloways, and if you visit the Carrollton location, ask for Layne. I promise you won’t be disappointed with her service and expertise. Thank you so much, Layne! I didn't take pictures of all the plants I bought, but trust me, I have a plethora of them, and they are all healthy and thriving. I have only lost a few and thankfully they are all replaced by Calloways! Worth the money you spend here!”

“This place is fantastic! Not only do they have a wide variety of plants at great prices, but they are super helpful. I called ahead and asked If they carried a certain ground cover, and when I arrived I was promptly taken directly to exactly what I was looking for.”

“I was recently in to return some tools for my company and everything was going smooth. Customer service was more than happy to help. I was told to get the tool that was warranted and bring it to them to exchange it. As I’m walking back to the front an older employee named Jose approached me and started to give me a hard time about the exchange. He stated he worked for customer service and started to ramble on how the tools should be exchanged. Seemed like he just wanted to complain and was trying to take his anger out on my co-workers and I. We found out later he lied about working in customer service and likes to do this often to customers. Thought it was weird but in the end customer service did an amazing job and we were able to get an exchange done. As for José do better and quit harassing customers with lies.”

“By far my best home depot experience ever. Stopped here for few items I needed and had to ask for an associate's help. Shout out to James, front end supervisor for the help today. He went above and beyond to get the items I needed, polite through out the interaction, patient and assisted me. Wish people were half courteous as James, made my day and thank James for me.”

“I placed an online order. I wanted to just stop on the way home from work, grab my order and go. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well, that's exactly how quick and easy it was! As I was parking, in an Online Order Pickup spot, clearly marked with a highly visible orange sign, I couldn't help but notice a big sign giving a phone number with clear instructions on how to notify the store of our arrival, if we were having difficulty with the app. As I looked at the app to see how to check in, an employee came to my window asking if I was there to pick up my order, and she had it in her hand - I'd already let them know I was in my way. Could not have been easier! This was a great experience! I went back to Home Depot today (three days later) for screws. Going in, I was dreading a long search and a lot of head scratching while I figured out what I needed for the job I had to do, and where to find it. As luck would have it, an employee was in the Fasteners aisle! I showed him what I had, explained that I needed something similar, but longer. He helped me find what I needed, and where the package was marked with the size, so I could more easily find it myself if I have to. Within a minute, I was paying for my purchase. In the short time he helped me, he was very friendly. In the future, I won't be so intimidated about going into Home Depot with my very limited experience in all things...well, Home Depot-ish. You're doing a great job, Home Depot, and I appreciate you!”

“This store is clean and well-stocked with knowledgeable and helpful employees. I wish they would accept all types of compact fluorescents and tubes for recycling--they sell them and should recycle them all!”

Today, after a debacle with the delivery (set up through DoorDash by Home Depot), the delivery driver texted me and told me to cancel my order because it wouldn’t fit in his vehicle. I refused and told him to leave it at the store. I was already frustrated that Home Depot didn’t ensure a large enough vehicle was requested to pick up and deliver a very large, assembled (not in a box) 3-burner propane grill, as if any Dasher could pick it up and put it in their vehicle. Then I received untrue texts and emails from Home Depot, which only added to the confusion (really, Home Depot ?!?).

Despite being busy, Amy went above and beyond to coordinate everything so my son could come pick it up with his truck.

I hope someone who sees this recognizes Amy for who she is and what she does. I’ve interacted with her before in the store, and she is always absolutely wonderful!”

“I’ll tell you what - Michael Crowder (I think is his last name) puts the PRO on Pro Desk. My team started a 5 day concrete job at an apartment complex nearby. Today is Thursday - I’ve been in this Home Depot multiple times a day every day this week. Michael has helped me most of the times I’ve been in. Let me tell you - above and beyond is an understatement. He has such great energy and a willingness to help. Funny fact is he is retired from medicine so he works here just for fun! That’s how you know he loves his job. He has been a bright spot in my work week and I can’t show enough appreciation. Anytime I’m doing projects within reasonable distance - I’m driving to this Home Depot even if there’s one closer to my job site! Haha thank you Michael!”
