“We were traveling through when our car started to make a funny noise. The car was packed down with luggage, 3 adults, and a dog. My son has autism, and although he understands most, sometimes he doesn't get the gravity of what's happening.I was afraid that we would get stuck, They looked at our car, mind you for at least an hour. “Performance Transmissions in Lockhart saved my life. Adam, the owner there, is as honest as you'll find in the repair business. My 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport transmission crapped out on me. I had it towed to South Austin Nissan, where I'd purchased brand new before it was even taken off the transporter. As luck would have it, my transmission went out just 5,000 miles beyond the warranty. And Nissan wanted $4800 to put a new one in and I didn't have 48 cents. Then a funny thing happened: I stopped crying and thru an online search found Adam in Lockhart. He had a great looking shop, that was immaculately kept, a good sign if you're interested in better repairs. So I called him, and it was a holiday weekend, and the guy moved mountains to get my car fixed with a completely rebuilt transmission for about half what Nissan quoted me. Adam, I really appreciate what you did, and I hope I don't need you again soon but when I do I'll definitely be back. Thanks for being so honest with me and getting me back on the road.”
