“This store is great! Not only is the staff friendly ,they are also very helpful. This store has pretty much everything one could want or need between major store runs or on short notice. If they do not have it they will try to stock anything you request as long as it is in their system. I love going to this little store and being able to get what I need and want. Also,the chicken tenders here are awsome!”

“While visiting family in October, we went shopping downtown. The White Peacock was a real treat and one of my favorites. The store was fun and inviting, and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. I remembered all the fun and yum at Christmas and wanted to send a gift box to my dad in Washington state. I called, and after telling Emma what I had in mind, she made some suggestions and went out of her way to put it together, package it up, and ship it out. She went above and beyond, exceeding my expectations! It was a hit with dad, who said I knocked it out of the park. It’ll be tough to top next Christmas! Thank you Emma!”

“There are a lot of goods, but expensive - about the same as our 24-hour stores, only with more choice. Maybe you can compare it with a magnet or a fiver, but in America there are cheaper stores, for example, Dollar tree”

“In the area for work and a co worker told me about this place. It is amazing, if you are getting cooked food to go or to sit down and eat, yes you can sit down and eat. They have the best tacos I have ever had. I will return!!!! FYI, you have to go to the cashier and place your order and pay, then you can go get your cooked meal. Just so you will not just stand and think no one is helping you.”

“This store is always immaculate, the cashiers always friendly and work hard, the managers are awesome and the in stock levels are excellent compared to others especially, im glad this manager is close to my house because he is the best one I've seen at any of the stores around here! I don't go to family dollar at all now and its closer and more convenient considering itz next to a loop turnaround and the family dollar is next to a gas station......great store, love the upgrade from the filthy old store that was too small!”
“I like the store. Clean and stocked. They keep a pretty good inventory but do not carry some things that we usually need. Prices are higher than other choices, but are more convenient and not as crowded.”

Still miss Mikey, but I couldn't ask for a more friendly and helpful group of people. Also out of all of the stores on this section of 69 South, this is the only store that PASSED the recent TABC underage alcohol sales sting.”
“This location is always cluttered. Hard to locate items. Cashiers are not always friendly. However, they are in a busy location and it can be overwhelming for a young or new cashier. Overall, its dollar general and it is convenient to grab what you need vs shopping a 10000 sq ft big box store.”

“Great service, friendly staff plus they serve SubWay and Pizza. Although there are 4 gas pump there isn't enough room for more than 2 cars at any given time to get gas. Being outside the city limits on HWY 103E their prices are lower and more reasonable than other stores around Lufkin.”

“Great people working here, and they delivery lady is so sweet and she always calls to make sure you're going to be home before she delivers your medications. The pharmacists and pharmacy tech's are always so helpful and they make sure you're are taken care of quickly. They try not to have you waiting for very long and make sure everything is correct.”

“Always so kind and helpful at this DG store. This is my favorite DG. Why? Because they stay open until 10pm nightly - an hour later than the other DG stores in this area, they have an excellent selection of craft items, always stock Barq’s root beer for the best price I’ve found - $1.50 for 2L bottle or $2.50 for two 2L bottles! And again, the staff here is always kind and helpful.”
