“Friendly, helpful staff and great prices on high quality hay! We buy coastal hay for our horses here because it's very nice hay that they actually want to eat. It's also fun to see the Zebu in the field on your way in ?”

“Chris was fantastic! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely curious about my pets so he could tailor his recommendations to what I actually needed. He checked in again later without ever feeling pushy, and took the time to explain not only the brands Paws carries, but the why behind their recommendations, even offering options for things they didn’t have in that particular store. He also gave me some really helpful, gentle guidance on nutrition for my fur babies and even took notes for my next visit. His badge said “training,” but honestly, I would’ve guessed store manager! I’ve been a Tomlinson’s girl since I moved to Austin (no shade!), but consider me converted.”

“We have a reactive cane corso that we often take to desensitize him to other environments, we brought him in and the guy that works there (forgot his name, but he owns a presa canario) was so kind! He was super knowledgeable and helped us pick out raw-diet food for our dog, and he was so helpful being apart of our training, keeping his distance but being confident. We will be returning just to say hi!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Shaggy Dog and I’ve only been a customer for one month! We have a 10-month-old Golden Retriever who was dealing with severe stomach issues back in January. After multiple vet visits, prescriptions, and tests, we still didn’t have real answers or lasting relief. We were exhausted and worried. On a whim, we stopped into Shaggy Dog in Buda and spoke with the owner about everything we’d been going through. He took the time to really listen and gave thoughtful, personalized recommendations for a new food regimen. We decided to give it a try and I am so glad we did! It’s like we have a brand-new dog! He’s more energetic, happier, has perfect bowel movements, and hasn’t had a single tummy issue since switching his diet. The difference has been incredible. This is the kind of care and knowledge you only get from a specialty store where the owner truly stands behind his products. We would much rather invest in our pup’s health now than continue racking up vet bills for emergency visits. I highly recommend Shaggy Dog to anyone in the area. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and genuinely cares about the well-being of your pets. Thank you for giving us our happy, healthy boy back!”

“I love stopping by Tomlinson’s Feed—it’s become my go-to spot when I want to treat my dogs to something special. I fully expect to spend a little more here than I would at a typical pet store, but it’s worth it for the quality and unique selection, especially when I’m picking up birthday treats for my pups. The customer service is always consistent—friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable without being pushy. The store itself is clean, well-organized, and easy to shop, which makes every visit quick and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a convenient place (in South Austin) to splurge on your dogs and feel good about what you’re buying, this is definitely a spot I’d recommend.”

“I’m so glad I started taking my puppy, Ts’amtii here for her first ever grooming! We’ve seen Charlie several times now for her usual groom and there is a thousand reasons why I recommend Barkin Creek, especially Charlie, but I’ll keep it brief: wonderful salon style appointments, Charlie is very skilled, knowledgeable and efficient, lovely humans, animal people, affordable and competitive grooming prices for the service you receive. Charlie is always wonderful and has helped me learn how to care for my first Shih Tzu coat and set my girl up for the best care. I can’t recommend him enough! 2026 - we’ve been trying to find Ts’amtii’s best haircut and Charlie is so open to new ideas and suggestions, and today we explored a new cut that I’m dead on, it’s SO cute!! Charlie is just the best, he’s our girl’s “Uncle Charlie” for a reason, I can’t recommend him enough. Him and Paul have always been amazing - awesome humans!”

“Just wanted to say, Princess, was the best groomer for my dogs! Kai is a pretty reactive dog and he does AMAZING with her. To see how far he has come since I have first taken him to get groomed, its like a totally different dog. Josie did really well with her as well. I loved how Princess cared for my dogs and always loved the good quality work she provides! She always provided a little report on how they both did, she took time to take a pic of both of them after each groom and let me have a copy to take home! She even got my Kaibear a birthday gift last year! She also took the time to put together a goodbye gift for Kai and Josie. She goes above and beyond and I can tell she loves what she does! Sad to see her transfer, but I'm happy for her, in her new chapter!”

“We recently moved to the area and are first time customers of Woof Gang. Our experience was great! Booking was easy, drop-off was a breeze, all of the staff were friendly, and our pooch got a great grooming! We also picked up a baked treat for him that was very reasonably priced, and he loved it. “I want to share a positive experience about Kim at the Petco location in Westlake (3201 Bee Caves Rd., Austin, TX). I shop at this store at least every other week, sometimes once a week, and whenever Kim is there she consistently goes above and beyond. Kim is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions I have. You can truly tell that she enjoys what she does and cares about the customers who come into the store. During my most recent visit, I bought about six cans of food and a small bag of treats. Kim double-bagged my items before handing them to me- without me even asking for a double bag. (I know It may sound like a small detail, but it actually makes a BIG difference.) Most of the time when I only get one bag, it ends up tearing or I have to re-bag everything when I get to my car. That small extra step showed a level of thoughtfulness and attention to detail that I really appreciated. Employees like Kim are a big reason why I keep coming back to Petco. I rarely take the time to write reviews or contact management, but I felt she absolutely deserved the recognition. I sincerely hope upper management recognizes the great work she does. Kim is a standout employee and someone who represents your company extremely well.”

“17 years ago, I adopted my cat Tiger from this location at an adoption event. His name was Sultan at the time and as a 9 y/o, I read it as “Satan” and everyone had a good laugh because I asked “to meet Satan.” Anyhow, that day I left with my bestest friend and a harness for him. 17 years later, I brought him back to that same petsmart the day we put him down before we went to the vets. He was battling CKD and had gotten so thin his original harness fit him again and we went there to get the only thing he’d eat anymore which was Temptations treats. The check out clerk called him a beautiful sweet kitty and gave us a knowing smile while I tried to hold it together. So grateful for this location having adopted out to me the greatest friend anyone could have.”

“Other places rejected grooming for my pet, for being overweight and old. The employee here said they will do their best. I respect those who do their best, whether win or lose. Kudos to them all.”
