“Great staff! I took my 15 year old chihuahua in for a check up since he was having stool issues and they were really gentle with him. Dr. Cowart and staff were honest and didn't take advantage of the love for your pet by overcharging for services or doing unnecessary procedures to rack up a bill. She even called us a few hours later to explain an at home remedy i could do for my dog if needed. Tuxedo and I are very happy with her as his new doctor when needed. Thank you staff!”

“We took our cat, Olive, here after she had appetite loss and the vibes were off. Dr Caudill and the whole team were amazing. They were kind, explained everything, and answered all our questions. Dr Caudill personally called as soon as all her labs came in (we had to get multiple). They explained all our options and were transparent about the different costs. We came in multiple times within a 4 week period for frequent follow ups. Thankfully Olive is back to herself usual self after treatment. Couldn’t be happier with this vet.”

“On our hardest day as pet parents, they were so kind and patient. We came home to find our dog Pepper unable to stand. I called ahead, explained the situation, and they were able to see her. After hours on a Friday, we said goodbye to a member of our family that was with us for over 10 years. The staff took care of us: our dog, myself, my husband, and our daughters (3 and 5 years old). We were all able to say goodbye, and make an end of life plan that was the most humane for the whole family.

“I can't say enough good things about Lucas Vet. We recently adopted a BIG puppy from a shelter and quickly learned he was very sick. He had constant diarrhea all over the floors like something I have never seen, and we have adopted and fostered many dogs throughout the years. 3 days later my husband ended up in the emergency room very sick and ended up having to stay in the hospital for several days. I was at the end of my rope. I needed to be with my husband, but I had a very sick puppy that I could not leave in a crate with his tummy problems. I called a vet in the area who has a hospital and takes care of my cats. I told the front desk of our situation, but I felt they did not care and basically just blew me off. I was really disappointed. So then I called Lucas Vet, who has taken care of our dogs for many years, but I was unsure if they had overnight facilities. From the moment I called, they were so gracious and kind to me. Without hesitation they told me to bring the dog in and drop him off so I could get to the hospital, and in the meantime they would check out our puppy. To make a long story short, then kept my dog for 3 days and two night. It gave them time to assess the situation with my dog and calm down his stomach, but mostly it gave me the time I needed to take care of my husband and get him home. They are both home now, and they are both doing better. We could not be more grateful to Lucas Veterinary Hospital. They are truly angels on wings to us and they will be getting all of our business going forward. Their compassion in our time of need speaks for itself. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! .... P.S. Another bonus, you never have to wait for more than 5 minutes. They do not overbook, which we really appreciate. When you have anxious pets, this is a blessing.”

“I just want to say what an incredible vet they are compared to others in Collin county. A nearby ER vet claimed our vomiting but vaccinated 3-month-old puppy had Parvo and was going to die even though he was walking, had no fever, and no bloody stool, suggested $7k in treatment. King Vet kept him overnight with IV fluids and he was eating and happy the next day. It was just a stomach flu, not Parvo. Tiny fraction of the cost. King Vet has way more experience and ethics.
