“Visited TJ Maxx in Weslaco one evening. Store was very unorganized- clothes on the floor, shoes not in the correct place. There were plenty of cashiers, store wasn’t very busy. Got some good deals, but overall store needed some attention.”
“Great place to buy stuff, but my main concern is security. I just drove up to pickup some stuff that Alamo Walmart didnt have and the door is unattended by any staff. Security people! Never know who can come in and have any bad agendas... especially how everything that is going on. SECURITY ? %!!!!”

“Just like any Walmart. I don't really go to Walmart anymore but had to exchange a gift I received. They have so much Marie (from Aristocats) things. Also their Loungefly dupes are pretty valid. They have Bogg Bag dupes too. I spoke to a cool team member who is always wearing pink which I enjoy their outgoing spirit and individuality. I had met them previously. I connected with one customer cuz of her AWESOME Muriel's Wedding T-shirt...and other customer cuz she was the best beautiful woman I've ever seen in a Walmart. STUNNING. I asked what she was doing in Weslaco and she said she's from Houston. Makes sense. Beauty like hers belongs in the 4th largest city in America. (I took her picture with her permission but I will not post her pic cuz I didn't ask her consent.)

“El Disco Super Center U.S.A. in Progreso Lakes is one of those places that is absolutely worth checking out. The prices are ridiculously good, especially for the quality of what they carry. We have bought a few chimineas from them over the years, and they have always been beautiful, solid, and a great value.
The store itself is huge, but the real treasure hunt is outside. A lot of the best items are tucked away in their massive outdoor storage area, so it is worth taking your time and looking around. You never know what you are going to find, and that is part of what makes the place so fun.
The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and they are happy to load the heavier items for you, which makes a big difference when you are buying larger pieces.
This is also a great option if you want high-quality Mexican wares without having to cross the border to the El Disco location on the other side, then sit in traffic trying to get back into the U.S. There always seems to be a long line coming back, so having this location right here in Progreso Lakes is incredibly convenient.
Great prices, great selection, friendly staff, and plenty of hidden gems. Highly recommend.”
