When I arrived, he took the time to walk me through the entire process, making sure I understood what would happen next to get my car checked out. The technician was efficient and thorough, identifying the source of the oil leak in no time—turns out it was my oil cooling line that had been damaged from hitting a sidewalk.

I recently took my car to Lamb’s Automotive because the TPMS sensor light was on, even though I had checked that the tires were inflated to the manufacturer’s specifications. I initially thought the sensors themselves were faulty and might need to be replaced.
The team at Lamb's was thorough in their inspection and called me the next day to let me know that the sensors were working perfectly fine, but there was an issue with one of the onboard modules in the car. They were honest and upfront, explaining that they don’t perform that type of repair and suggested I take it to the dealership for further diagnostics.
When I went to pick up my car, I was pleasantly surprised. The manager looked at my ticket and, despite the thorough checkup they performed, said, “We didn’t fix your car,” and waived the $99 fee for the diagnostic check.
I really respect and appreciate auto shops that are upfront and don’t take advantage of their customers. Lamb’s Automotive could have easily charged me, but instead, they chose to stand by their principles. Their honesty, integrity, and excellent customer service have earned my trust, and I highly recommend them for anyone looking for reliable automotive service at a fair price.”
“Such an amazing, honest shop!! Our car randomly started screeching and we assumed we’d need brake pads or rotors changed or something that would cost us a bag. These guys were so nice, found a tiny rock in the backing plate, and got us in and out in 30 minutes. With the way the car sounded, I’m pretty sure other places would’ve turned this tiny problem into an unnecessarily costly one. Would definitely recommend!!”

“I was traveling through Austin with my family in our Honda Odyssey when the van started vibrating at 65–80 mph — the steering wheel and front panel were shaking pretty badly. I assumed the front brake rotors and pads needed to be replaced, so I called Groovy Automotive.
After listening carefully to my issue, they told me it didn’t sound like a brake problem at all and suggested it could be the tires. They honestly recommended that I stop by Discount Tire instead of trying to sell me unnecessary work. I followed their advice, and sure enough, my front tires were worn out. After rotating and balancing them, the van drove perfectly again.

“If you’re in austin and need a tire replaced I can’t recommend Michael enough! He came to my house and replaced my bad tire today and for LESS than what it would have cost me anywhere else. I called him about 12 and was back on the road by 1:15. I was so stressed about the whole ordeal but he is one of the nicest most honest men I’ve ever met! Save yourself the hassle of sitting in a dealership or tire shop and have Michael come to you!”
“I went to a quick change station for a flush and fill brake fluid. The so called mechanics did something to my brakes where they did not function correctly. I went to M E Gene Johnson Garage and explain the problem. They listened, and told me they would take care of the problem. These guys are professional, caring and work in a very efficient manner. I have been to them in the past and have no complaints. They fixed my car and I feel much better. They have my recommendation.”

“I've been taking vehicles to Lawson for almost 9 years now. They always communicate very clearly on issues, pricing and timeline. I always try and call before I go and they will usually tell me how busy they are and how long they think it might take to get to my vehicle. I feel that their pricing is reasonable and they always try and give me some options when a fix is needed. I really like their service and communication... I've even had them recommend other shops in the area when there was a service needed that they could not perform (like body work or transmission work). I would recommend them for any general mechanic work on a vehicle.”
