“Mission Espada is one of my favorite stops among the five San Antonio missions. Unlike many historic sites that funnel you through guided tours and gift shops, the San Antonio Missions allow visitors to simply wander and take it all in at their own pace. The peaceful grounds, weathered stonework, and quiet atmosphere make it feel more authentic and personal. It’s a beautiful place to slow down, explore, and imagine the centuries of history that passed through those walls.”
“Beautiful mission with extremely friendly tour guides and helpers that explained the history so well. A moving experience honestly. We loved it and hope to be back.”

“This site is very beautiful in its own way. Every tourist in San Antonio must visit this place one time at least. The church has a lot of tales to tell and is very beautiful and clean. It is mostly silent and not very crowded, so it is the perfect spot to meditate a little while enjoying the nice and sacred atmosphere.”
“Words cannot do justice how much I love coming here, Father is a phenomenal priest and very pastoral, you can be confidant that you will have your confession heard if you go early which brings a lot of peace for many of us scrupulous souls. I have been coming here since Easter 2024 and I love that I’m raising my children in the Mass that has formed countless saints!”
“The San Jose Mission holds a special place in my heart as one of the most cherished destinations in San Antonio. Stepping onto its grounds, you're immediately whisked away to a different era, enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility and beauty that stands in stark contrast to the contemporary world outside its walls. It's truly a serene oasis that offers a unique glimpse into the past.”
“This is a beautiful church. I was married here. My children were baptized here and my godmother’s funeral was here. I love the stained glass and the peacefulness at the church.”
“I just started regularly attending a few months ago. I've always felt welcomed here. If you're looking for something more "flashy" like John Hagee or Joel Osteen, this ain't it. But that's why I like it. Pastor Bob seems like a everyday guy, and his sermons are well thought, well spoken and compelling. I hope this was helpful to anyone looking for a church.”
“It's as beautiful as always. I attended services for a loved one.One can feel the love for our father there. The singer was wonderful. The love from those that attended was fabulous. I was touched to tears. My tears were of joy and love I felt there! The pastor was great! I hope to return often.”
“Little Chruch of La Villita is a charming historic chapel tucked right in the heart of San Antonio’s Riverwalk, and it’s a great place for timeless photos full of character.
The steps leading up to the church make for a stunning entrance. Around every corner of La Villita, you’ll find something new: cobblestone paths, vibrant flowers, textured walls, and of course, that signature village atmosphere that makes it feel like you've stepped into a romantic little world.
There are so many incredible photo options everywhere you look— if you have an artist’s eye. You get plenty of couple portraits, family shots, candids, etc. And let’s not overlook the convenient parking right across the street, food is close by, and everything you need is just a short walk away.
It's a pleasure to spend a day creating joyful memories in one of San Antonio’s historical spots.”
“Pastor Richard is really great. You really feel welcomed when you come here. I saw in a previous review someone said it was "ghetto" but if ghetto means welcoming people in all levels of their faith, then yes, ITH is ghetto, because you can come as you are and you will be welcomed with open arms. The music is great and uplifting and will bring you to tears if you surrender your thoughts and your heart. They have classes for children and youth. If you go through life with Judging eyes you will always find something negative, but if you surrender and look at life with faith and understanding you will appreciate all that life has to offer. At ITH they offer you a new perspective on life, what you allow into your atmosphere, sometimes forcing you to look at your very own approach on life, accountability. I've been coming here for 5 years and it feels like home. There are all ages, and people in different stages of life. Come for the music stay for the word. Be Blessed in your journey”
“What an amazing parish. Impeccably preserved with beautiful sculptures, beliefs and paintings.
A very well attended Sunday morning Mass with a very well rehursed choir.
The church is right downtown on the Riverwalk and less than a five minute walk from all the major hotels. No Uber needed!!!
Definitely worth the visit.”
“Thank you to the directors Ms. Roshunda and Ms. Diane and to all the wonderful, caring Teachers Alisha, Robynne, Ms. Flow, Ms. Bridgette and Mr. Darnel who care for my babies everyday at MCC Daycare. I know you work very hard to keep my boys safe, engaged and very much cared for. Our family is so grateful to have you meet and exceed our child care needs in this moment in time. We appreciate MCC daycare for consistently providing healthy cooked meals by Ms Britney! And we love all of the photos, parent invite events and communication on the Procare App and in person! Thank you MCC daycare for all that you do to make my boys time their special and enjoyable!”
“It is too important for everyone to follow God and live with him, my best experience knowing him and thanks to the one who invited me to meet him from Atlanta, Georgia, the young Dany and here in San Antonio, Pastor Pablo”
“My sister and her husband got married here and it was definitely a great experience and a wonderful home feeling church to be in. Everyone was so nice and friendly and we enjoyed ourselves to the Maxx.. sho nuff sho nuff.... Dave & Latonya P. From Big Dallas Texas....”
“Best church this side of Earth. I was hurting one evening and could only think to go to church. So I did and cried and called Jesus and some more. I slept and woke and cried some more then I was calm and drove away. Peace be with me for God had kept me”
“Been attending this church for over 20 years! Enjoy the Pastors; Brent, John, and Andrew! Love the music, you can truly feel the Spirit of God move! They have wonderful programs for youth and adults! If you are looking for a new church or just want to hear a great message, come visit BRCC, you won’t be disappointed!”
“I haven't known the church that long but I do know they're very giving people I'll be working as there usher this Sunday they are very nice and very helpful I love the way they working for God's people I'm in a wheelchair but it was a blessing when pastor came up and asked me to be an usher Sunday I was so honored to do that like I said Miss Jackie and the rest of them got to love him”
“Great church! The current pastor, Lora East, is phenomenal, and the congregation is welcoming to all. They are also very active in the community, and they encourage critical thinking and cross-faith collaboration. A welcome antidote to dysvangelicalism!”
“Being Minnonite myself, I was so happy to see there's a church in the area.I'm on their mailing list, and if I can get into San Antonio will personally check them out. I also listen to services online, and admit they're different from the conservative services I'm used to..I encourage people to consider attending and give an honest review of your experience. Bet you have a wonderful worship experience.”
“Revival/Camp meeting this week (April 5 - 9, 2021) has been amazing! My regular church is Victory Baptist in Hondo, but I can tell you, the Holy Spirit is in Faith Baptist! The people there love the Lord and love one another. If you live in San Antonio and don't have a church, pray that God leads you here.”
“It was great to visit Family Life after 5 years. It was good to fellowship with family and friends. It was also good to see people we hadn't seen in many years. The message was an on time message, and I needed to hear personally.”

“Humble beautiful church. However, the heat wasn't on when we visited. Temps were in the 20's and we were freezing indoors.
Priest was nice and kind to the family.”

“I felt the holy Spirit in St Vincent like never before in my.ifetime .59 yrs young n all the family married here. I heard the Priest who went to California ..recently. He was the best Priest in my lifetime ..He told true stories about Jesus . I was touched by that fact, every I sat in front of the beautiful vision of the Virgin Mary n I felt her there. I tried to move because I think your supposed to move to the side of Her wonderous vision. Very much so. I feel a lot in this church ! If your looking to feel the Lord. Go to St Vincent again. . Can't wait to return to feel the power of the Lord God Almighty. Amen .”
“Amazing place to go and pray. They will make you feel very welcome. Everyone is so nice. Pastor Carlos is amazing, great place to go if you don't speak English. They have real-time translation. You won't regret visiting and getting to know them.”
“First timer. Super cute. Pumpkin Patch! They got wagons too. Oh. Be careful when you exit, blind spot. The traffic (construction trucks) seems to be coming from the left a tad too fast.”

“Pastor Matt, Jackie, everyone was wonderful. Thank you!
I went to the 11 am service. I'll try the 8 am (I think, might be 8:30) this coming weekend.
I heard exactly what I needed to hear in this service! Let go, let God. You can't move on until you drop the baton...Or, you also need the baton to take that next section of the race. We celebrated All Saint's Day. We were able to name (outloud) our friends, family members who we miss, our losses. I cried through most of the service because I felt like I was finally home. Went to St. Matthew's years ago when my nephews were young because they went to Pre-K there. Came back because it felt right. And I was correct! St. Matthew's is right...not politically. I felt I was closer to God than I had been in years! Great people and great service. Humbling. (Never a bad thing!) I felt at peace here.
Come check out St. Matthew's if you're looking for spiritual guidance! I recommend the people here and Pastor Matt was wonderful. The music here was good as well.”
“Went to Easter service, first timer. Great service, great music and the Pastor kept me engaged. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for the VIP gift bag and food. Love seeing the kids Easter egg hunt, it was fun.”
“This church is amazing! The reverence, peace, and calmness is really present here which is so beautiful. I love the architecture of this place from the altar, the stained glass windows, and the facade of the church. This basilica is also large and tall in which it shows the great reverence and devotion to God and the Little Flower. I totally recommend church if you are in the area for mass.”
