“I came at around 3pm and no one around but an old couple. I think it’s the best time to go on a weekday between 10am and 4pm. I was told that the neighborhood around these missions are crime ridden so just leave before sundown for sure”
“This mission was recommended to us by the park rangers at Mission San Jose because we were going back to see The Alamo and this was on the way.
It's small and easy to visit quickly - probably 30 minutes or less.
It was not crowded on a Thursday weekday around 2:30pm.
Beautifully maintained church with original frescos and art on the walls.”

“Historical landmark. Beautiful place. The visitor center has a lot of info about the missions, and the place is super clean and neat. The bathrooms are impecable. The ranger guard was very helpful. Thebplace is huge. The gift shop is close to the church.”

“All I can say is…well honestly I’m speechless, but I will have to find the words to say how grateful I am for this church. This weekend the Spirit of Jesus moved so much in Pastor Jake and then in the rest of us, so much that the whole sermon was ALL worship to the Precious Lamb of God!

“I attended a 3-day retreat here at the school and attended the church afterwards it was very nice I loved the church the priest I loved the whole atmosphere around Saint Leo's it was an adventure that I'll remember forever the staff was very nice kind very welcoming the food was fantastic the buildings were very nice they were older but well kept clean the bathrooms were modern the beds were comfortable and it was just a good overall experience”

“This church is amazing! The reverence, peace, and calmness is really present here which is so beautiful. I love the architecture of this place from the altar, the stained glass windows, and the facade of the church. This basilica is also large and tall in which it shows the great reverence and devotion to God and the Little Flower. I totally recommend church if you are in the area for mass.”
