“I love their food. I’m from the Northern part of Mexico and our way of cooking is vastly different but nonetheless their food is great. The staff has always been courteous to my mother and I. I will most definitely keep going back.”

“I love coming here for my cookout meat. I like getting the split seasoned chicken and the seasoned fajitas. The butchers are quick to help you, and they know their stuff. I wasn't 100% sure about some meat, so I explained it to him, and he knew exactly what I was talking about. The meat prices have gone up significantly, but that's everywhere. The cashier was friendly as well. Smooth and quick check out.”

“This is hands down the best place to get your meat. They've also recently opened the supermarket so its officially your one-stop-shop for all your home cooking needs. The quality of the meats is superb and prices are super reasonable. And if that wasn't enough, they have a selection of pre-marinaded options for all their cuts and will even prepare the meat to your own liking.
Super-friendly, super-hospitable staff that make sure you are looked after.”

“I've been searching for a good ribeye in Houston for a year. Finally found it! I can say this is actually better than Hudsons in Austin. And Pete's steak seasoning makes it perfect!”

“This is not as cozy as the Lake Charles location. I found the selection to be sub par but not a lost cause. The fresh side had a few options. Frozen side had too many options but slim pickings. There is no store brand seasoning for sale which was also a surprise. All in all I’d probably just return to the Lake Charles location for future purchases. This store is basically an outlet with no character or warm boudin balls to enjoy.”

“been a regular here for many years, their tacos are honestly some of the best, always feels fresh and well made. the store itself really gives off the feeling as if you really are in a corner store from Mexico, absolutely would recommend to stop here for a quick bite and light grocery shopping.”

“Good portion size and prices at the cafeteria inside. The green sauce on the table is great. They were friendly and twice called a guy to help me with questions as my Spanish es malo. Thank you, #10 earned a repeat customer.”

“This is a good yet small grocery store. It probably only has about 3-4 aisles of grocery items, predominantly frozen, canned foods or boxes. There are a lot of spice choices on the back wall. It’s not a very appealing grocery store in terms of the way that it stocked or organized seemed a little bit cluttered on the shelves however, I feel like I had a good variety. The cashier was friendly and helpful. There is Abdullah‘s kitchen inside the grocery store a pretty great dive type of a restaurant. It’s all made to order and was very flavorful, but not a massive menu. However, I feel like there was enough variety for our family.”

“Good market and great food and pastries. Their tacos, flood plates and tamales are the definition of quality: good food, good ingredients, and always cooked consistently. One of the best places. Staff is really nice and friendly.”

“We love this place. The quesadilla is awesome. Just a little grocery store that offers Mexican delicacies on the weekends and other staples during the week. Great little gem though. Bodega style.”

“The food is bomb for breakfast or lunch. My favorite is the steak fajitas Chilaquiles, to try go by 10:30 when breakfast ends. Sometimes no one at register but never waited too long.”

“This place usually has what I'm looking for and everything is always fresh! Only gave 4 stars because the staff is a bit rude to people who don't speak spanish.”

“Great Mexican breakfast! Fresh salsa bar for toppings & spice. Good variety but breakfast is my favorite here. Authentic, homemade, tasty, and reasonably priced. The cafe in the small well provisioned grocery store has very accommodating cooks and the ubiquitous store owner is always there to help and an all around very nice guy! Check it out and be happy you did…..”

“While waiting for the fried chicken, I found a small supermarket behind the square, which was full of fried pork rinds and fried pork! This is a specialty gourmet supermarket in South American countries! A lot of food I haven’t eaten before! You can come and give it a try. The square is very shabby and I think it’s okay to come during the day. It’s very safe!”

“Oh yeah my first time experience I went in there about a few days by four or five days ago after I left the dentist office I was looking for some cashews peanuts with lime for one of my co-workers they had some but it wasn't a type of brand that we wanted but the store is clean me the manager he was real nice to help me out looking for the peanuts and it's a nice place to go get gas food snacks it's clean and next door is a food place I don't remember the name of it and the door after that is a shopping strip where Mama's donut oh man you talking about some good donuts and some good breakfast kolaches in the morning oh man they got a mean croissant sandwich though yeah breakfast that is awesome they off the chain. But at on meat market you can get drinks food and play their games and get some gas it's a nice neighborhood so stop by it's call Mobile gas station and enjoy yourself take your family the kids that would love the candy all they have the snacks and grown ups drinks environment that they have so whenever you decide you want to barbecue or go on a picnic or go fishing whatever stop by and get everything that you need they will have it thank you God bless.”

“Opens at 6am and closes 11 pm sometimes 12 am. The food they prepare inside is good. Staff is cool. Only one register. They do have a western union box so you can send money or receive. Great selection of everything you need. Some items may be expired but those you can really tell. A lot of drunk grown Mexican men stand sit or lay in front or on the side of the store. Sometimes they bother you, other times they don’t… it’s 50/50. More than enough parking available. Overall 5 stars in my book. Super convenient to anyone who stays on club creek.”

“(Translated by Google) It was my first time going to buy meat for roasting and I didn't know which one was better, but the boy Jose was so kind and helped me get the best and juiciest meat. I also tried the Tejano meat, which by the way I loved! I recommend it very tasty(Original)Fue mi primera vez de ir a comprar carne para asar y no sabia cual era mas rica pero el muchacho Jose fue tan amable y me ayudo a conseguir la carne mas rica y jugosa. “Attention Argentinian community. This is “the place.” I bought meat many times there, and I always had the best products. Service is 10-stars. They always greet me as “Hola che” and they know all Argentinian cuts. El aplauso al asador está asegurado.”

“This place offers so many options as long as you can overlook the cramped aisles, not very clean, organized sections. Prices are very reasonable specially for fresh cut pre-packed halal chicken. Some dried spices, flour, nuts are sold by weight for very cheap prices. They sell baked goods and sweets too.”

“You have GOT to go here. The place is not obvious, in a strip center, but OMG, BUCKLE IN, I *HAVE* to tell you:1. Good smaller grocery store. Not great for produce (quality, just not a huge selection), though I did buy some great veggies. They have a meat counter that looked clean and fresh, though I didn't need anything. They had a LOT of frozen and shelf-stable goods. I know beans about middle eastern food, but it seemed like they had a lot. 2. Wonderful bakery. As mentioned earlier, I know beans about Middle Eastern food, but I bought some of their magical pita. It was chewy, delicious, and flavorful. I also bought baklava and a few other unidentified members of the baklava phyllum, and an egg bread - not sure what it is called, khatchapuri in Armenia.3. The REAL reason you should go (after 11:00 am) is the lunch counter. I've been 3 times. I always get the stew with tomato, lamb, and eggplant...but also the shrimp pilaf and the lamb shanks with saffron rice - biryani in Indian food. They have kibbe and (for some reason) egg rolls and samosa.4. Really, really nice people. I felt like the customer they'd been waiting all week to see.5. Great value for money. I paid about $25 for 5 meals last time I went. A big pack of pitas (about 10 loaves, 10" in diameter) was $1.75.”

“I went looking for some spices, in general la michoacana is a complete store, right now they have a lot of offers, the mangoes are juicy, the avocados are delicious and the meat market very special, clean.”

“I just moved her from the East Coast, I was surprised at how clean the store was. The fruit was neatly stocked. The prices were very reasonable concerning where I am coming from. The only reason I can't give them the 5th star is I am NOT spanish or speak it and being in America or Texas I feel English should be your dominant language. If I went to your country or state I need to know your language 1st in order to communicate better. I had to use my phone to ask for some things in the meat department.”

“This place is a gem. Great service. Great meat. I went there looking for calf liver and chorizo (beef). They Have both of them, good quantity, quality, and a good price. So even Gringo likes it.”
