“Store is in a convenient location on the corner of Palmer highway and 146. It is a small store but the store clerks are very polite and take care of your needs very quickly.”
“The next best thing to a large grocery store, only it's in your neighborhood. Dollar General has almost everything a grocery store has except for fresh meat & seafood. They have plenty of frozen items & fresh vegetables. It beats going all the way to a larger store.”
“We had occasion to visit both HEB and Kroger in Texas City going to a new year’s celebration and returning.
Very good wine selection at Krogers. ( not at the Texas City HEB) nice, spacious, good selections. (Not HEB)
Both grocery stores are close together. They are across the street from each other. Choose wisely. Do Krogers in Texas City.”
“Small little bodega in Texas City. Very limited selection for anything…snacks/drinks/beer. Same for ciggs and rolling material. The “coolers/fridge” there are basically swamp coolers at best. Beers seem to be about 50-65 degrees at best. I’d advise grabbing any drink/beer from one of their coolers with ice in it up front. The guys behind the counter are extremely personable and polite. I gave it the 4star because of the staff, if they weren’t so friendly I’d have given a 1 for the fridge and overall selection. Sometimes the people make it worth it.”
“9/24/25 - This past month they did a renovation of this location. It looks amazing. They also added a lot of new products that couldn't fit before. It also doesn't have a bunch of products in the aisles all over the place. They added a new register which doesn't make much since because they only work 2, employees at a time but it still looks great.

Dollar General offers a wide variety of items, even items other conventional stores don't. Only issue with this store is that there is often, more times than less a long line at the counter. There's always 2x employees working but one is often around the store doing other duties while the line piles up and customers seem to have to ask the second employee to help before action is taken.”
“I like to buy the preseasoned meats and take them home and grill out. The prices have gone up but the quality hasn't wavered. I would definitely recommend trying next time you wanna grill.”

“Honestly Iam in the Neighborhood and i am so glad we have a 24 hrs convenience store around the corner under new management new ownersyou can find anything you need affordable prices very cheap and everything you can think about it is there Rahim and his wife super friendly nothing to compare to the store right next side of the bridge very secure 24 hrs cameras outside and inside for our own security i really recommend the store also one of the winning lotto tickets winners very lucky if you get your tickets here”

“Great selection for coffee to lottery tickets. Gas is reasonable. They don’t have semi so you can go in or go to subway. They do take credit cards n cash. They have lot of oil if you’re lacking oil and very nice staff help me with what I was looking for. Right when I walk in he stand at register so I didn’t have to go looking for him when I was ready to check out. Very nice man strike a conversation with me.”
