Raisin Windmill is a favorite stop for BBQ, especially on the way to West Texas or between Houston and Beeville. Many call it the best BBQ at a gas station. The store has it all, including a meat freezer, wine, bait, a deli, and fountain drinks. It is clean with updated restrooms, mopped floors, and a fresh scent. There are booths to sit and enjoy a snack. The staff is friendly and speedy. The pumps work well and allow payment after hours, though the area is not well-lit at night.
Looks kind of rinky dink but inside is clean, well organized and well stocked. The over- stuffed breakfast tacos are absolutely delicious along with the homemade salsas! It's a mini grocery store also, even with fresh vegetables! My new favorite place
