Every time I walk into Bomgaars, I end up finding exactly what I need—and usually a few things I didn’t know I needed. From the moment you step inside, it’s clear this store is built for people who actually work with their hands, raise animals, or take pride in caring for their land and home.
One of my favorite parts is the baby chicks. They’re always well cared for, clean, and clearly handled responsibly. It’s obvious the staff knows what they’re doing and takes the health of the animals seriously. If you’re starting or adding to a flock, Bomgaars makes the process easy and stress-free with everything you need right there.
Beyond that, the selection of farm and animal supplies is outstanding. Feed, bedding, fencing, tools, health supplies—you name it, they have it. Whether you’re caring for chickens, livestock, pets, or tackling a farm or property project, Bomgaars is a one-stop shop that saves time and hassle.
The staff truly makes the difference. They’re knowledgeable, approachable, and actually helpful—not just pointing you down an aisle, but taking the time to answer questions and make sure you get the right product. You can tell they understand farm life and rural needs, which is refreshing.

“For the most part kohls gives you a good shopping experience. Great deals and sales especially when they have their clearance event were you take another 50% off the already clearance price. The Kohl's cash, Rewards money they give you monthly. Yes they are a good place to shop.”

“People here, super kind, super helpful, understanding and humble and particular there was a one employee that helped me with the target app and I had some credit card issues that I was trying to do on my own, but she was able not only help me at self check out when it was pretty busy but Alex was able to fix the issue I had with the Credit card well, staying calm and collected with also being asked by other clients for assistance she is an amazing, kind, humble person. She always has a smile on her face. Very sweet and kind”
“I will give it a 4 rating... Plenty of staff there, however, noone ever greeted me or said hello or asked if I needed assistance. The young lady that completed my transaction was veey sweet and nice, we talked the whole time. I found what I was looking for and love my new coat.”

“The Walmart in South Waco is a convenient and dependable place to shop. The store is spacious, well organized, and usually well stocked with groceries, household items, and everyday essentials. Prices are affordable, which makes it easy to get everything you need without overspending. The staff is generally helpful when you need assistance, and checkout tends to move fairly smoothly even during busier times. It’s a solid location for quick trips or full grocery runs and does a good job serving the South Waco community.”
“The Waco Wal-Mart near New Road is awesome! They could train a thing or two to the one in Hillsboro (and the one in Cleburne). It's sad that Hill County residents have to drive far distances to get the type of service that big city Wal-Marts tend to provide; however, what can you do ?”
“New store is nice and clean. Door greeter this morning was awesome. Lots of clothing on the racks. Yes isles are a bit small but an overall improvement from the old store. Only one thing was wrong. The only cashier this morning didn’t greet me , just rang everything up , didn’t tell me my total and I just waited till I thought it was time to swipe my credit card. Not even a thank you. All Customers want to feel appreciated. Maybe the casket having a bad morning if not maybe keep her in the back stocking because it definitely showed she does not like her job. Your door greeter made up by asking if I found what I was searching for and saying thank you and come again. Over all an improvement from the old store.”
“Used the pet wash for the first time today. It was a decent experience. The rooms could use TLC as some of the equipment was broken, nowhere to harness your dog in the tube, the person before me did not clean up after themselves. I think a cleaning guide should be posted in the room. Before arriving I went online to make sure I did it correctly and based on the information on the site customers are to walk in and groom their dogs first come first serve and then pay once they are finished. There is zero information on the site that says you have to ask an employee first if the room is open or available before you can enter. So when we arrived the room was empty and we went in and took care of our dog. After we looked at treats and toys and then proceeded to the register where we were met by an employee who informed me that how I did it was not how they do it in the store. I informed him online it said nothing about asking an employee first before using it. He had zero sympathy and just repeated what he already said and made me feel quite embarrassed in front of many other people in line. I did what the directions said online for this store (Waco Texas) and I was not in the wrong. This store needs to update their site to reflect their “ways” of doing things in their store.”
