“Our stay at The Yurtopian was amazing. We spent 2 nights there and truly did not want to leave. The location is perfect because you’re close to Wimberley, which ended up being such a charming and vibrant little town (somewhere I probably never would’ve discovered otherwise), and retreating to The Yurtopian you’re completely immersed in nature.

We spent our first day exploring Wimberley and our second day just staying onsite at The Yurtopian because we wanted to soak in every minute of it. Honestly, you really need 3 nights here. One to explore town and at least two to fully unplug and enjoy the property itself.

Everything about the setup feels so thoughtful and intentional. The outdoor spaces, the layout, the little details… it all just works so seamlessly. It actually inspired me to start thinking about creating my own outdoor kitchen. And if we needed anything, help was always just a simple text away, which made everything feel so easy and relaxed.

The more you look around, the more you appreciate how much thought went into the experience. The trees and natural landscape create this feeling that each accommodation is tucked away in its own private little world. Every unit feels peaceful, secluded, and honestly kind of magical.

The Yurtopian has created something really special here, and we’re already talking about when we can come back. Thank you for such an unforgettable stay!”

“What a delightful Ross day I loved it definitely would come back again. I highly highly recommend it. I was in a situation. I lost my glasses reading glasses and I had difficulties with my vision. I couldn’t go back to my original hotel which was an hour drive away and they were lovely and they put me up for the night. Highly recommend. I don’t know what more to say. Clean comfortable Amazing and they’re such a lovely married couple that look after the property thank you again for having me.”

“It was a cozy place. Excellent area to stay when you want to walk around the town and relax after an excellent shopping experience. The back yard look to the small creek was stunning. The place was very clean and well equipped. I would love to stay again next time I stay in Wimberly..”

“I took my wife here for her birthday and opted for the birthday packages with instructions to put the package on particular day. They messed it up and put it on the day of our check-in which was 2 days ahead of her birthday. I was disappointed. Later they took care of my stay and everything went smoothly. The lake view was very good. Albert the owner was very cooperative and only because of him I was able to have a positive experience with the initial setback. This is a good place to stay of you want to spend time in Wimberly with the quitness of the woods.”

“My family had the absolute best time at the beautiful Montesino Ranch. We only live 20 mins away, but we felt like we were in a different world!! Our kids both LOVED the ranch and were so happy and joyful (and well behaved, ha!) all weekend! My daughter didn't want to leave and keeps asking to go back.

We stayed in an upstairs studio super cute, clean and roomy. The bed was incredibly comfortable and everything we needed was provided (extra sheets + towels, bathroom w/ shower and kitchenette w/ sink, fridge, coffee maker, plates, utensils, cups, etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the BBQ/play area, the barn, meeting & feeding the horses, picking flowers, watching butterflies, dipping our toes in the river, and the beautiful scenery from the lookout point. We also appreciated the close proximity to the square in Wimberley where we enjoyed breakfast, dinner, live music, playgrounds, coffee and ice cream. HEB grocery store is nearby and convenient for anything you forgot at home.

This is a very DIY kind of place, but the staff is easily reachable if anything is needed. We appreciate the hospitality and will absolutely be back to stay with friends/family next time.”

“We met with some family and friends for 4 days we attempted to book here for all 4 nights however it was full the first night. So, we were able to book for the following 3 nights. The set up of the hotel is great (parking so so) around the pool. We were in Room #9 and the room was nice and clean no complaints there. I wasn't told about the complimentary candles! The only complaint that I would have about room 9 is in case of an emergency there is NO WAY OUT besides the front door, and if that's blocked, you're in trouble! The windows that are there have those Glass Blocks so there's no breaking through those! The other thing is the trash by the BBQ pit area was never picked up! even though housekeeping went and cleaned the rooms. But overall it was a very comfortable environment!”

“My boyfriend and I stayed here on my birthday and it was so cute! We really enjoyed our stay. We had a gorgeous view from our room, the complimentary snacks were a nice touch! communication with Maria was fast and efficient. She was very friendly and helpful :)”

“My mom and I stayed for one night and we had the best time! The neighborhood is quiet. Yes, some guests may be loud. We did hear a few door slams but that is about it! Doesn’t have thermometers in the room for you to control but we knew that going in and brought a small fan and heater just in case. Has a bar with food right next door so that was a plus from us! Overall we had a good time and hoe to be back!”

“I’ve been coming here for years and was due for another visit. The staff is great - very communicative - and even let me stay inside out of the heat when my car wouldn’t start. This is a great place to stay for peace and quiet and calm.”
