“After my review of Burt’s Brother’s and doing some research, I ended up calling Excel Automotive and told them the issue with my car. Turns out Burt’s Brothers was right with their estimate in cost of brake repair but also confirmed I WAS RIGHT too in my assumption that the brakes had been bad for a while should have been brought up way before it reached the point of where they were at.
Richard and his staff are personable and mechanics that have come from other dealerships that share the same belief of being honest with people about their cars and not always trying to upsell customers on stuff not needed or keeping repairs hidden from customers until the cost has hit an astronomical point.
I happily paid the $800 to Excel and have been a loyal returning customer since then. They always speak to me about my concerns about my vehicle and i never feel rushed. And more importantly, I never felt taken advantage of. Cannot recommend Excel enough to people who share the same concerns I do about car repair shops.”
“I just moved across the country from east coast and get recommended from a group members on the social media to take my car here for the service. Got the phone number from him and I sent the message to Dustin and take me in right away. Drove half hour to get to the shop and the process only take me less than an hour. After my car get done we talked for a little bit since I’m new to the area and finding out that we from the same area(east coast) state automotive will definitely be the only shop that I ever take my car to no matter how big or small the job is.”

“I had a unexpected timing belt tensioner noise that is a precursor to a timing belt failure that shouldn’t be ignored. They fit me in last minute to complete it in time during my workday. I expected a few seals to be replaced due to oil leaks, they said there was no issue and wouldn’t do anything. I appreciate the honesty and ease of establishing an easy working relationship.”

“Truth be told, I haven’t had the pleasure to work work with these guys yet, BUT… they came recommended by another mechanic shop for their integrity and knowledge. I need to have a motor replaced in a vehicle, and needed advice. Mike took the time to talk to me and give me that advice, even though I wasn’t going to be working with them on the work I need done. (My vehicle is in Ogden) But, when someone is willing to take the time and talk to you and give you advice, even though you’re not going to be working with them on the project you’re doing… that tells you a lot about them. When the time comes that I would need work done on my jeep, these guys will be front and center in my mind. Thanks Mike for taking the time!”

Your whole crew went above and beyond to make sure I would travel safely and comfortably. I can't remember names but the older gentleman with the salt and pepper goatee (I'm sure he's younger than me!), the young kid eating his sandwich, and the guy with the sleeve tattoos were so kind and so thorough. They caught my bad brake light, they cleaned up my cabin filter ( and showed me how to change it myself if I wanted to later).Those guys know their stuff! “Was in need of a shop to do a pre purchase inspection, while being on the west coast. With the truck being a 6.7 cummin diesel, and the videos I found online pointed me to DAVES AUTO, the YouTube famous shop where they share their knowledge and expertise. After calling into that shop, however, I was informed of a three week wait period. This would not work for my scheduling, as I was in the middle of a vehicle purchase. I asked the gentleman over there who they would recommend, when they recommended this place. I called and spoke with Frank, who had quoted me the lowest vehicle inspection price of four shops in town, And was able to get it done very quickly with a friendly and communicative staff. The quality service, and ease of the experience overall, has earned them this five star review!
