“As far as mechanics go, you couldn't ask for more. Except maybe that they serviced non Subarus too. We took our 2006 Subaru Impreza Outback here for 3 years until our Subaru was deemed totaled in a wreck and we've had to move on to another mechanic. I can't recommend Clarks enough though. They took great care of our car. They never did anything without consulting us and they always made sure this car was well taken care of. We will miss Clarks!Hot tip, they usually work by appointment. They are very popular and get pretty booked up. In an emergency situation, they have been known to accommodate us last minute but don't expect them to be there at midnight on a Saturday. If you can get your car there though, they do have a key drop that you can use if you let them know ahead of time.”

“I had an unpleasant noise coming from my engine’s area, so I needed to see what was going on. Last week, I went to Point S and they had my car for 9 hours and couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it…and tried to charge me triple digits for a “deep inspection.” Needless to say, I did not use them nor will I ever go back. This time, I googled my area’s auto shops and found that Action Auto had great reviews. Everyone I talked to there was so friendly and helpful, and they figured out the problem extremely fast, and they clearly communicated my options with me.I ultimately decided that I’m due for a new car and am not wanting to put anymore money into my beater.They didn’t charge me anything for the inspection and diagnosis. “I went to this location recently for a hybrid synthetic oil change. When I got back in my car it smelled like garbage, which was weird, but whatever. A month later after only driving about three hundred miles my check oil light comes on, and my engine is making a noise, and it smells like oil. I took my vehicle to the dealership because I thought there was a major problem, but they said Jiffy Lube didn't install my oil filter correctly, because they didn't remove the old gasket, and I was leaking oil. The dealership changed my oil again. I called Jiffy lube about the problem, and the manager there provided poor customer service. The manager started yelling at me, and was gas lighting me. The manager never apologized or tried to offer me a refund. I will not be going back after this poor customer experience. Due to Jiffy Lubes mistake I was forced to pay for 2 oil changes in one month.Update: The owner reached out to me, and fixed the issues, and because of this, I feel like I can now recommend this business. I upgraded my rating based off the new positive customer service that was provided to me after my initial review. Thanks for making things right.”

In the past I had had bad experiences and had heard bad reviews, but at least for this location that is not the case the staff were extremely friendly, professional straight to the point and got the job done and I really appreciate the complementary windshield cleaning that they provided while I was waiting for my repairs. “I have been working with Dan, Tracy, Darren & their excellent staff of mechanics since 1994. They fixed my Nissan engine running rough/poorly when the dealer repair didn't last more than a few weeks. Ever since they are a "go to" place. When they couldn't do the repair for a broken suspension arm, they recommended someone who could fab the part and install it for a low price. I have had GM, Ford, Nissan and VW vehicles maintained and repaired here. I have got some great winter tires recommendations and prices. They inspect and recommend reasonable repairs. The repair costs always come in very near the estimate if not spot on. I have had suspension components, drive lines, brakes, belts & hoses, debris covers/boots, power steering, wiring repairs done with high quality work.”

“I read the other reviews before posting mine. Auto repair tends to gravitate towards extremes (1 or 5). I get that. Middle of the road reviews are reserved for businesses where you have options. In my situation, I had no good ones.I was having breakfast at Eggs in the City (which was pretty good...two Yelp reviews in one!) last Wednesday. When I got into my vehicle to go home, the battery had died. I looked to my left and there was Steve's just 50 feet away.I walked next door, within minutes they gave me a jump. A half hour later I had a new battery and was on my way. Out of curiosity I did some price checking when I got home and what I was charged was in line. Not that I would have cared, because they pulled my fat out of the fire and salvaged my one day off that week. A Festivus Miracle.”

“Unexpectedly had a tire fall off a car I had recently purchased, had it towed to these guys because they were the highest rated and nearest to where I was in slc. They got right to work, got me a quote, and had it fixed within 2 days. It was making a weird noise from where it was repaired as soon as we pulled away which they looked at and took care of promptly. Good shop, honest, and fast. Only issues were slow communications. I had to call them most of the time to get updates and I don't think they checked their work initially very well probably due to being busy. Hence the weird noise which was something simple. It happens. Still a good place to go.”

And they have a nice little break room for you to wait in. The exit is kind of hard with how packed the main road is but if you just force your way out youll be fine.”

The only thing I would change would just be better communication with the customers as I came in with an appointment at 8 AM, but my car wasn’t looked at for a while. But they mentioned when I got to the shop because of what I was coming in for it would take a while. I would’ve like to know that when I booked the appointment. But other than that they did great they finished up everything and they also apologize for the inconvenience. I will definitely be back if my car has any other issues!”

“Oh my gosh where do I start. Everyone was so nice and helpful they do things I didn't know they did like top off your oil between oil changes that's not something u get with all places plus they cleaned my windows and vacuumed the floor when they were done so awesome. Above this, I went in for an oil change and that's what I got I didn't get to the register and have the guy tell me I needed blinker fluid or my fuel filter dusted and that they could do these for me today for $49.99 (I've never had that happen but you get my drift.) They gave me the price up front which was more than what i paid at Walmart but I didn't get the perks that come with JiffyLube as well as the "jiffy" yet friendly service. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE GUYS HAD GOOD VIBES IT WAS AWESOME !!!!! I'll be back in a month and a half for my first out of 2 !!!FREE!!! oil top offs before my next oil change. Ya know even tho I paid $120 I feel like a winning consumer not like I got shafted.”

They've done full tear down and rebuilds on my engine, cleared/fixed codes, exhaust and of course fluid changes with filters.I've since added my wife and daughter's vehicles.I'd even send my daughter there by herself.
