About Great Basin Museum
Great Basin Museum in Delta is a great small town museum. The display of fossils is world class and the section of minerals is large and well displayed. Docents have first hand experience of the mineral and fossil history of the area. The museum has free entry and welcomed donations. Visitors can see rock and archaeology exhibits, a restored Model T, a Case steam tractor, a sawmill, a thresher and a reaper. A working 1920's Ford car and fluorescent minerals. Staff are super friendly and gave personal tour with personal stories. The museum exhibits Ute Indians, enlisted men and belongings, and a wide variety of local history. Clean public bathrooms are there. The museum is entertaining, fascinating and educational, and is highly recommended for anyone passing through.

An great museum in this small town. The display on fossils was world class. The section on minerals was large and well displayed. The best part were the docents who first hand experience of the mineral and fossils history of the area. My best part of going to Delta.

Really interesting museum making for a nice stop if you’re passing through. Free entry but donations welcomed! Featuring rock and archaeology to local interest, but the highlights for me were the restored Model T, Case Steam Tractor, Sawmill, Thresher and Reaper. Recommend it
