“Lee's feels like home. I love shopping here. We lived in Logan for a few years and loved it there. I missed it when we moved. Then it came to Heber where my in laws lived and I was excited to shop there sometimes. But THEN I moved again and now the NSL location is so close to my house and I love grocery shopping again! I know this sounds silly, but I get irrationally angry when I can't find the things I'm looking for. My kids know we don't shop at Smiths if we can help it be has nothing makes sense and I can't find what I want. But Lee's makes sense and when I can't find something there is always someone to help. They will even order things to keep in stock for you. I asked for a specific pasta years ago and a few weeks later they had it. They still carry it now! I love the deli and the bakery. Everyone is kind and helpful and everything tastes good. I love the meat department that prepares delicious meals I can take he and cook with no prep. They also always have time to help me find the right type of protein for my meal and are always so kind and happy! I love the man who always tells customers about the good deals or what's coming up on sale. Last year I was told he personally bought holiday treats for the kids so they could have something more than just a candy. He wanted it to be more festive! He makes shopping there feel like home. As do all the friendly employees. And speak of the treats, my kids love finding Buddy and claiming their treat. My 3 year old is shy and usually won't talk to the people at the service desk, but the last few times she was brave and told them where she found Buddy! Oh, and I can't forget the holiday decor aisle. The cutest stuff! It's just all the little details that make this store great!”

“I work in North Salt Lake and live in Murray. I frequent this Lee's because its close and convenient. Not cheap by any means. Their prices are almost ridiculously high. But I have an event this weekend and needed rolls and crossaint's. I just called the bakery and spoke to Dillon.. I was kind of wishy washy on what I wanted. He was very patient with my questions and explained to me what they had. I loves Lee's fresh Bakery and I've never custom ordered but I did for this event.. Hope everything goes as planned. Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.
Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
