“There is a bank at the end of my street. There is a credit union just around the corner. I don’t know how many banking institutions there are in downtown SLC. But I ride the bus down to DFCU. Often. Since 2008. I bank in person whenever I can. My friends work at this branch. They treat me as if I belong. If there’s a line behind me they show some hustle. Otherwise they talk to me about more than just dollar signs. I live in a retirement and disability home, and I always recommend the team at this DFCU location. “I’ve never been inside, so I can not speak for the customer experience. However, the drive-thru (abnormally loud) ATM is very reliable & gives you the option to withdraw cash in various denominations. Which I really, really, appreciated. Back in April, an e-commerce company (rhymes with hay) stole my livelihood. That company received no consequences for their actions. Before that happened, this ATM offered zero hassles to withdraw cash. I really miss those days. I long to use this ATM again, I still have some hope for better days like my memories past. Before I lost everything, before the faceless corporate specter; ruined my future.”

“Everyone's been very nice to me, but I haven't had any problems either. The hardest thing about the whole banking/cu world is trying to figure out how to do the online banking. How do I make deposits or withdrawals, how do I make deposits from another bank account, how do I make a deposit from another bank where I have an account? It's not quite so easy as the CU would have you believe. I still have to figure a lot of stuff out. At least I haven't been snubbed or had anyone be rude to me. Heaven help them if that should happen. The only reason I stopped by them to get a loan is because they're so close to my home, so it won't be hard to move away from them if I have to.”
