“After three shops in Cape Cod told us to junk our 2007 Honda Pilot due to a supposed transmission leak, we decided to get one more opinion—and towed it 168 miles to Richmond Auto Repair on my brother’s recommendation.
Doug quickly diagnosed the issue wasn’t the transmission at all. Using a dye test (which no one else had done), he found the location of the leak and fixed it for a fraction of the cost we were quoted elsewhere.
We were blown away by his honesty, skill, and thoroughness. I’d make that drive again in a heartbeat. If you’re lucky enough to find your way to Doug, you won’t be disappointed. I just hope he never retires!”

They kindly remedied the situation and put 4 brand new Tires on the SUV for me the very next day! Thankful for that! It has low miles and drives beautifully.”
“Last year I had these guys doing an oil change and they were quick and very polite and friendly. Yesterday I had them fix my muffler/catalytic converter. They were very efficient and the price was reasonable. The main thing is they invoke trust. They seem to accept my puppy Who stays with me everywhere I go. I advise anybody to visit these guys if there’s any issues with your muffler or anything else that they can work on you’ll need at least a week lead time to schedule an appointment because they are busy which is a good sign. They are good men as well as good workers thanks.”

“We emailed after hours with some help on a 1990 Jeep--which has a long and sordid history full of adventures--and quickly got a response from Curtis (who turned out to be in sales). Long story short, Curtis was absolutely delightful and arranged for us to speak with Rich, the mechanic. First thing the next morning, we talked to Rich who had us bring the Jeep in. Right away, everyone in the shop couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Rich diagnosed the problem, worked on the problem and offered further advice. Having an older Jeep, truly takes a village and it was so lovely to find ours here at Summit Jeep. To anyone who needs to buy a new Jeep--go see Curtis. He's amazingly kind, warm, genuine, and I'm certain will treat you like family. To anyone who has a Jeep that needs special care, go see Rich. He's a gem, that knows and loves Jeeps. Thanks Curtis and Rich for keeping me smiling! You guys are the best!”

He is an honest expert and like someone else said, always would give me the straight scoop on my Saab, --what needed to be done, - what could wait (until I had a bit more cash) etc. I trust him like family and he has never, ever let me down. I would totally drive two hours to have him work on my car, but unfortunatley I'm in Santa Fe now. When I lived in Brattleboro, I bought a car from him and he cared for it for 10 years. Again, trust him completely!”
