This past Friday I employed their services after realizing the oil in my vehicle had dropped to a minimum level. My friends and I had planned a college reunion weekend in North Adams. I was driving from upstate NY along Rt. 2 when my vehicle’s computer registered low oil and that I needed a quart to replenish. Since I have a BMW I was nervous of where I would find the correct type of oil my SUV required. But when
I arrived in town, I noticed a Monro business. Knowing my dad has been a loyal customer for decades I stopped by to see if they could help! Not only did the wonderful staff soothe my jangled nerves they went out of their way to find the correct oil for my vehicle and replace it! Bill, Joe, Darcy and Mike are all angels! I can’t recommend them or Monro in North Adams, Massachusetts enough! They truly took a scared visitor and customer into their shop and hearts! And in addition, they charged me a very fair price for topping off my oil! Anyone needing auto care in North Adams can feel assured that they will be in competent and caring hands! This is a must go to business and one to remember - even if you’re just passing through town. They will take great care of you and treat you like family! “Thank you for taking care of my tire quickly. The whole staff was friendly and pleasant. I got a flat tire almost 1hr from home. I called the day before and talked to them they closed within the 1hr so I wasn't able to get it done that day. I called down again that day asked when they were open next to my surprise they were open 9 to 12 on a holiday weekend! I stopped down Saturday and they remembered me from the day before. I appreciate everyone and to my surprise I got a used tire to match my set I have on my car. The price was great to under $80. THANK YOU again. I definitely recommend these guys.”
“Kind and honest owners. Gene fixed my air conditioning problem and due to breaking off a small part on the coolant overflow tank did not charge me anything for the service. I returned a few days later to pay him at least an hourly fee but his wife gave me a big hug and again sent me on my way owing nothing. I heartily commend them for their ethics and honesty and am praying God will bless their business.”
“My wife and I were traveling from New Hampshire to Arkansas pulling our travel trailer over Labor Day weekend. On Sunday coming through the mountains we had a coolant hose come off our engine leaving us stranded near Bennington. We had our vehicle towed to Oliver Ford. They were closed on Monday because if the holiday, on Tuesday I was there when they opened at 7:30 and explained what was going on to Ed the service manager. He had his technician Jon immediately pull it into the bay and do an assessment of my vehicle. By 8am Ed explained what was going on, located the part at a local dealership because they didn't have one in stock and someone on the way to pick it up. He kept me informed throughout the progress. By 11am they had my vehicle done and I was able to get back on the road.
I really appreciate them going out of their way and their promptness. Customer service at it's finest.”

“I went there for recall of the SDS sensor for my 2020 Subaru Outback XT. It took just over an hour to complete.
While waiting I stopped by the showroom and talked with Jacob Lavariere. He not only understood the issues I was having with the cruise control steering, he explained why, how, and when it was fixed. The 2024 Outback has 3 forward cameras instead of 2 allowing it to better center in the lane on multi-lane highways. He has expert knowledge of Subaru and most cars in general.

“I had my 2015 Subaru Outback's sparkplugs quoted at $400 at the Bennington Subaru dealership, so I went to Earl's and was quoted $150 (I already had the plugs too!). I dropped my car off the day before my appointment and they called me when it was ready the next day. Similarly, I had my rear brakes and rotors replaced for $178. I'm sure the dealership would have been overpriced again. Great service at a great value.”
“Great place and owner. He sold me a used tire for less than all the other stores. They balance and mounted for free. I thanked them for the great tire and service. I left and went back to doing a Weather Channel Report. I have to stay safe driving 7 days a week.”

They went well beyond what I expected to get the repairs done properly. I have been a mechanic/store manager for several years and due to my medical situation, I was unable to do the repairs. They have restored my trust, and I found the only place I will bring my vehicles in the future. I can go on and on about the respect I have for this business. “Rescued my brother after a wheel came off near the Welcome Center and AAA rerouted the scheduled tow guys 3 times. Found him some Camry parts on hand, and were excellent about tracking down whatever else was needed for a more than fair price. Had to double check they'd actually charged us for the tow! On pickup the owner dashed out (in the rain) to check my brother's lugnuts one last time before he hit the road. Great service, great price, so lucky we found this place!”
