“An unusual charge showed up, so I called the local number. All that got me was an automated system that went in circles. If I question a charge I should “call my financial institution”. Why, so they can tell me that only Hertz can explain the charges. Zero options to speak to anyone. Just get kicked around once they have payment. The closest I could get to an answer. It was an automated message telling me to go to a website to request a receipt. So the receipt is just going to tell me what I already know. I’m being overcharged and I can’t get someone to remove the charge. Or, if there is something that is worthy of being charged, the receipt or the automated system gives me any information that satisfies the charge.
Just got a response telling me to go online. Not terribly useful. Sort of what I’m complaining about.
3-27 Update: Ignore above. I guess it was some weird credit card hold. Oddly specific amount of $75.75 while my $315 hold showed being refunded. Weird, but there’s probably some reason they need to do that I guess. Might be nice to have that explained. All good otherwise.”

“My friends and arrived late for a group trip. Enterprise didn't have the vehicle I had booked and they couldn't offer me anything else. Thankfully Avis had something for us or we would have been screwed! Great service was provided by the gentleman at the counter!”

“The staff was very friendly, professional and prompt but the exterior of the car was filthy. Also the fuel tank was at 1/4 but my receipt showed it was 100% full. They make a major deal of me returning the car full of fuel or paying an $86 refueling fee and they can't manage to fill the tank before my rental. I returned the car with more than 1/2 tank of fuel and they didn't refund me $46.”
